Today is the opening Clash at the Coliseum race for NASCAR.
We'll stream it in the bar with Sling.
Betty Lou has the crock pot going with lil' smokies in chili sauce and grape jelly.
We will also have:
Ritz crackers and sharp cheddar cheese
Hawaiian dipping bread
"Creek water" pickled pickles and beer.
Those pickles are awesome... Dill, garlicy and spicey.

It is said, to help stay warm, you want to fuel the body with food. I just finished a bagel with about a dozen slices of ham and 2 slices of American cheese and plenty of Gulden mustard.
Hmm I think I feel a little warmer.

Despite beggin her not to cook, I would always come away aching.

I eat week old leftovers regularly.  I've only had food poisoning a few times.

I had food poisoning once many years ago and I hope I never get it again. The shot in the arm that they gave me was almost worse than the poisoning.

I cooked up chicken alfredo, mixed in shredded chicken breast then completed with chicken seasoning. Stick to your ribs goodness right there! Finishing with oreos and milk.

I cooked up chicken Alfredo tonight. Used some muler ruffles pasta because the kids like that kind big time... I make my own Alfredo sauce so had to make 2 batches because I over cooked the first batch and it was more like melted motz. Then I pan fried some boneless skinless yard trick thighs.

I might have some double stuffed Oreos too.

I can't decide if I l prefer asiago or parmesan cheese in my alfredo sauce.   More taste testing!

Ooooo I need to try the asiago some time. Maybe a blend? I did have a lady say she had real Alfredo in Italy and mine was the best she has ever had.

A hot bowl of chicken and dumplings on this frigid 61° day.

At 6am this morning. There's a negative in front of that number. Strong winds to boot!

I don't care much for the single digits much less the negatives.  It has really been nice to skip the snow and ice Nashville had recently. It's currently a little frigid here tonight at 53° but the weatherman said that we will soon be back in-between 70 and 80 in a day or two.  I was out raking some grass and removing some thatch today and it was sunny and nice out.

Today my wife made a Keto version of Zuppa Toscana - Spicy Italian sausage, fresh kale and cauliflower in a creamy broth, topped with crumbled bacon and crushed red pepper.

 I had seconds, and thirds it was GREAT!
