Hello Everybody, I have my YH comp. on the way and want to use this filter. I've read the whole thread. I will order the GF from Aliexpress, is the link in the first post still the one to get? No improvements since the start of this thread? Thanks for all the info here. I couldn't do it with out all your help!!Brian

I assume it isn't reusable/dryable?The canister already has one in it and and an extra one is included. Mine was in 2 pieces. One was longer than the other. The shorter one was 3.25 inches long. I cut it roughly in half and used each piece in one end of the PVC. It did take a couple tries to get the sieve filling right because you want it tight. I first started out with a plug in 1 end with the o-ring in place. Then filled the pvc with the molecular sieve to about an inch from full. I lightly tamped it with a 1/2 wooden dowel. You don't want to crush the sieve material. I then put the plug in (be sure o-ring is already on the pvc at that end) and checked the amount still hanging out. I had too much out so I removed a little molecular sieve and put plug back in. Then rolled the o-ring off the pipe onto the plug. Very easy to do. Not sure when I'll check/replace mine. I decided to just leave mine connected full time. One end is connected to the compressor which should not allow air to pass to the filter and the other end has a brass plug in it (one used as a pressure test plug). My compressor is different than the $400 one discussed in the other thread. Oh, I decided to do a paracord wrap instead of tape to protect it from the vise. Figured a vise would be needed each time it needed opening.BTW, the female foster that came with mine would not lock onto the male foster of my tanks but would connect to the male foster of the canister. So, I removed the hose from my compressor and used the supplied hose to connect the compressor to the canister and then screwed my compressor hose to the canister to use for filling. I put a piece of split loom over the hose to the canister so that any vibration would not cause the spring on the hose to wear on the compressor metal pipes. Mine is below. My compressor was an earlier version of the air charger sold today. It did not have a radiator or fan so I added those (behind the silver tower with gauge). I also added an hour meter along with replacing the fuse with a resettable circuit breaker and added an actual on/off switch. It was designed to plug and unplug originally to turn off the water pump and compressor.

I used an Innovatek radiator (single fan model) from ebay. It was advertised as:HIGH END GERMAN MADE RADIATOR FOR WATER COOLED GAMING CPU SYSTEM 5 1/2" X 6 3/4"This radiator allows you to change the tubing connections. Most radiators have straight pipe nipplesand I could not tell if they were removable. These nipples are too large, I believe, for the size tubingwe use. You can find radiators on ebay (search for PC radiator)that do not come with connectors and you can see the threaded holes in the photos.Fittings: Tube Fitting Connector Elbow Union 8mm To Male 1/4" BSP. This is a "Push-In" style connector. The hose pushes into the connector.Available on ebay. The radiator I purchased DID NOT use NPT threads.Connector also fits US 5/16” OD hose. I bought some of this tubing at a big box store.Fan: Thermaltake AF0007 Mobile Fan 120 mm USBThis is a 5 volt AC fan that has a speed control and a retractable usb power cord5 volt adapter: square iphone charger. They can be found on ebay cheapBolts: 1.5 inch X 6-32[/size] to attach fan to radiator
Thanks to all the info I gathered here my radiator setup is done. The parts came from my PC watercooling project before and not being used now. The only parts I bought are the tool trolley and the hoses. I added an hour meter to track usage. I plan to change oil every 5 hours of compressor use. The compressor is the new version of the Yong Heng.
The compressor is the new version of the Yong Heng.

Small world Eumel! LOL. The manufacturer of the compressor is Zhongyan. You can search for it and I have seen it in aliexpress.

Service Update:About 2-hours run-time total. Opened-up the Gold Filter last night, no condensate inside, tampon dry with only a very tiny oil smudge in the middle, zeolite and the few blue silica gel beads mixed in for moisture indication all perfectly dry (silica gel I have goes blue to pink).Compressor oil mildly discolored .....I am very impressed!
And you can keep that 95% down there please I spent several years playing in the central and south American jungles, I had my fill of humidity...among other things.I like my summer heat like a martini, DRY

Does the same job as the PVC pipe cartridge. One difference though is that the end with the black plastic has 2 divots in it (as you can see in the photo), so the cartridge is not sealed from the gold cylinder. This means that the pressure is equalized between the inside and outside of the cartridge, and the cartridge does not expand to fill the inside of the gold filter. Nor does it crack from the pressure. But it also means that oil and any &^^& that comes from the filter media can get exposed to the walls of the gold cylinder. According to some, this could be a bad thing. When I pulled the cartridge out and smelled the cylinder, it smelled strongly of hydraulic oil. I'm not worried about that though.
