Once again I cannot embed on this forum. What happened to just removing the "s" in "https"
Accepts regular pc cooling threaded nipples. It just so happened I was able to squeeze the tubes that came with the Yong Heng hoses through the inlet and outlet of the inserts. Tight squeeze, no leaks and no water flow restriction of the tube.I'll have to remove the cooling fan though as it's just gonna battle AGAINST the motor housing cooling fan that vents out the front and blows past the 1st stage pump. Obviously I have only used my compressor once to fill my Taipan and didn't even study its workings. So, fan will go or adapt it to fit otherwise.
I can't wait to buy one of these compressors and start adding gadgets to it.. My wife told me that I have to get rid of something in the basement, before I can buy any new items. So, while I'm making up my mind which piece of unused exercise equipment to dump, I got out the Hill Mark3 stuff, so I can try to fix it.. I looked at my 1-13-2014 cost. It's $314.94, almost exactly the same as eBay item number: 262943287446 Yong Heng shipped from LA.. If I can fix this, maybe I can sell it! Cheers,Rich
I can't answer much as I haven't run this more than 3 minutes. The real test for me is to fill my 2.17liter tank. I'm not sure how hot things will get but I like to tinker while I wait on my adapter. I don't believe the water will get any or much hotter than what my water-cooled pc got up to. That processor gets blazing hot and with a small self-contained cooling setup with less than a liter of water in it, it the acrylic handled the heat fine. And when I do go to fill my tank, I'll be using either ice from the fridge dispenser or half gallon jugs of water frozen or even blue ice packs. I'm sure things will be fine. All you others are fine with simply using tap water and replacing it when it gets too hot. With the ice I imagine I'll get through a long run without any problems, except that I may replenish the ice midway through as I'm sure it'll melt rather quickly. I bet I'll end up using gallon jugs of ice frozen and removed from the jug it was frozen in.
Speaking of pc cooling, I wonder if a similar system would work. Maybe a cars oil cooler plumbed in with a pc fan over it. Maybe not. I don't think the water gets warm enough to need a radiator to dissipate heat. Possibly put the cooler on the compressors inlet side and put an ice pack over it. That should cool the inlet water quite well.
Haha yeah we did. It's cheap enough to be feasible. My compressor doesn't get too hot so I'll leave it for the other folks to experiment. Then again maybe not... If I get bored at work I may just buy one. Couple your radiator with two of thesehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009OWRMZ6/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1498965430&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=120mm+ac+fan&dpPl=1&dpID=51EC61A3r2L&ref=plSrch
