Mine is a diabolo air dry system minus the threaded holes on each end and red $179 not including shipping from an airgun store on the web😳😡. Now that's a good price on that filter. Could have bought 2 for the price I paid for one😡

I think the Diablo has a desiccant inside where the Xin Yong Shi only has a large tampon. I put a vinyl liner in mine and added molecular sieve desiccant with 1" of the tampon on each end. That added another $22 to buy the desiccant. The thin vinyl liner keeps the desiccant from contacting the aluminum body.

The Diablo actually has molecular sieve beads inside of it.  It's like a ceramic with holes that capture the moisture even in vapor form.  Heating them in an oven will drive off the moisture and then they can be used again.  There is some desiccant in there just for moisture indication though at the inlet side.

I received mine and stuck a length of 1" pvc in it packed with the descent and tampon pieces on the ends. The pvc helps reduce internal volume so it fills a little quicker.

How did you seal the pvc to the outer shell? So that the air doesnt go past your filtering media.

Actually going by the size or specs of it they are different. The one I posted is longer and larger diameter..
Yours says:10cm x 10cm x 400cm (3.94in x 3.94in x 157.48in)  1.8kg (3.97lb.)
And the one I posted shows:  15cm x 22cm x 12cm (5.91in x 8.66in x 4.72in)  3.0kg (6.61lb.)
That's why I posted it, as it seems like it is a larger one which may be better, but I could be wrong. But I don't know where they get that 157.48in from. It looks like a typo. This is copied from both pages.

That is the shipping box dimensions... I don't see where they list filter size, but I'd think the extra couple pounds must be something.

I ordered the air filter from Ali Express its in the delivery phase now.  In looking at the pictures for the filter that is 350mm long they show a pic. after filling so many tanks and it looks like there is a liner inside of canister alteady.  Its made by Xin Yong Shi company and the product number is 83646475539127.  Am i lookoing at this wrong ?

I measured mine and the tube, including the end caps, is 50mm diameter x 350mm long.

Compressed an o ring on each side when the caps get tightened down. Not sure how well it works but the air definitely smells cleaner on the outlet so its gotta be doing something. I need to find some better fitting seals though. Maybe just a rubber gasket would work better than o rings.

I got my compressor working again.  If your's keeps tripping on overcurrent, try replacing the 2nd stage rings (you ought to get a set of 4 with your compressor).  It isn't a tough job to do just be sure to put some of the same oil in the crankcase on the rings ( just a light smear... doesn't take much).  If not you compressor may not spin at all on startup and continue to trip the overloads, ask me how I know.  I let it run in for about 5 minutes to set in the new rings then put it under load.  Hopefully this lasts for a little while and hopefully if anyone has issues with theirs they will know where to start.

I have a dryer coming from China ,should be here this  Tuesday.  I have been reading of vinyle and pvc liners used on the China dryer. Would like to know what it looks like inside the diabolo .

  Thought I  might have been missing something,  not the sharpest tack in the box .  Havent used my compressor much . The first time I just watched temp on motor and cylinder heads. The water did get warm ,took about 20 minutes to fill my air venturi tank(90 ci) from mt to 4500 psi. After filling Av  tank looked at filter,that came with unit, it was dry but had a order to it, and the air from tank smelled the same.  thats why i ordered the bigger filter . Going to cut the filters that comes with into  1 inch pieces. Put one in bottom fill with desiccant one on top and assemble.  Also going to change the lubrication from hydraulic to the Chem Lub 751. Will let ya know how all turns out. If the rain would stop might get more shooting in.

You mention a funny odor, I too smell an odor when filling but I figured it is normal? Does not seem to affect the compressor. My compressor oil has a dark tint. I too ordered the chemlube 751 on fleabay.

I am glad you got it back on line. Good info to share👍🏾. How did you come to that diagnosis? Where did you get the Parts? Is your compressor a single cylinder?
