You should get the compressor roughly 9 days after you placed the order online, at least It was for me. I placed the order on 2/26 and they shipped it on 3/1 and it arrived on 3/7. Sat in customs in Memphis, Tn for two days in that time frame. Keep checking the tracking on it.

So far great. I just use it for now to top off my rifles and it sure is awesome to come in and fire it up and less than 2 minutes have it back up to full. I saw a quote on network54 where someone said they have been working on wearing out one of the little cheap chinese compressors and that has been for over two years now. I hope I have the luck he has. For me when it only runs less than two minutes at a time there is no strain on it. Plus right now just going up to 3k which is about half of what it can do. That is good news! I have the omega super charger. It is nice compressor no doubt. It is good to fill an empty scuba tank and topping off tanks. But for my needs topping off a scuba tank or a small guppy tank to topping off the airgun, this compressor is versatile. Carrying handle (has to be lighter than my omega) bucket of water, electrical outlet and spend the days shooting 😎

Well if shipping goes like yours 1976 should have pump here by 1st couple days of April. Will be using it like you are using yours no big tanks just topping off rifles. Hope i have as good luck as u are having. I know it will be better than hand pumping

I'm following along with progress on this. I have been looking at these China pumps for a while. Have not pulled the trigger because I worry about quality. Will be very interesting to keep up with input from those that have bought them.

I think I'm going to go in a different direction here for a bit. I think I am going to pull the Trapmaster off the classifieds. I spoke to my Scuba guru, Mr. George at Sea Divers. He said he would sell me another 3300 psi 100cf Alum tank with fresh hydro/visual and filled plus refill the one I have now for $110. I think I might hold off on a Chinese compressor until more people review and report on them. I'll cascade my tanks and go from there. I only fill "SynBad" to 2600 - 2700 and the paintball field is 8 miles down the road for refills between inspections. I've also heard of some guys feeding these booster compressors with cascaded and regulated tanks. That's another avenue I want to explore. That's the way they do it at our local Fire Dept.

Sure...
At our FD they have a series of cylinders cascaded. These are regulated to low pressure and feed a booster that fill their breathing tanks. So, if I have my 100 cf tanks filled at the scuba shop with clean dry air and cascade them regulated at ... say... 90 psi. Feed that into a booster like the Altaros....

TerryH has one and loves it. He supplies his with a shop compressor and has gone to lengths to keep water out. With this idea it would be dry air in and dry air out. Not only that, this air comes from a dive shop. It's clean breathable air. No noisy compressor running and sucking on the electric bill.
I might be talking out my earhole but I'm going to look into it.

I was checking out the videos and threads on the boosters, I've also been thinking about building one with a big brake cylinder, the guys are doing it, some are even building their own big custom cylinders with great success, it's really neat making 4500psi from 3000psi for example.

Good idea! But are you sure the cost of the Altaros and another cylinder would cover the cost of more trips to the scuba shop?

Nope.... that's why I said it was something I will look into. For now I will have 2 tanks... half the trips to the scuba shop. And none through customs.

Conventional booster system uses shop air to drive the booster around 100-130psi then connect your hpa tank to the booster high side 500psi and up and the booster bumps that in to your high pressure tank you want to fill.
More psi you have in the tank before the hpa piston the quicker the other tank will fill.
Usually the pressure ratio is 50:1 in modern boosters. With 100psi shop air you can get 5000psi from the hpa side.
So you can drive it from a tank but it takes a lot of air, like the altaros. But the higher the feed on hpa side the less drive air you need, and on my booster around 1000psi is the comfort point, after that it starts to take too long.

If I just fill my gun from the 100cf 3300 psi tank from 2000 to 3000 when my tank reaches 3000 I'm done. But regulated to 90 psi to feed the booster I have usable air in the tank until it bottoms at 90 psi.... right?
