Now, I'm not topping a tank off... I'm filling my gun from 2000 to 3000 as needed. How long would the source tanks last?Mr. Hollowpoint has a good video on his.

In the case of the Altaros, a motor drives the pump.
Quote In the case of the Altaros, a motor drives the pump.I think the Altaros uses air, the Shoebox uses motor. Could be wrong though.
So is there any consensus on which compressor is good, or are they all relatively equal? I see the Yong Heng and Ace Eagle mentioned. Personally, I'd prefer 120V and plenty of rebuild parts. Also what oil would be best? Would either of these hook up to an Air Venturi tank directly without any additional parts? Thanks.

Thanks.I ordered the yong heng as I suspect they are made in the same factory under different names colors. I have been in contact with the seller about spare parts if I should need any and the resond was that parts are readily available?😳 Hmm hope it does not need any parts. Time will tell as I will be using this compressor more often than the omega. Omega as a backup compressor. Good to have options 😊 I am usually it my clubs range on Saturday shooting and I will have my guppy tank to fill off. This compressor will be topping off the tank and during the week I'm shooting from my deck or pole barn. So this compressor will no doubt be used more often plus my spouse wants to shoot which translate to being able to purchase more airguns😎 As far as oil I am going to use 30wt non detergent oil. Had to replace a water pump on my pressure washer and it was recommended to that oil so that is what I will try. I know the omega came with the required oil but I don't know what it is. Maybe someone who had a omega compressor can chime in on the oil? I can find out but at this point I will try the non detergent oil.
It's costs me $12 per fill at the dive shop here and I gladly pay it. I mean, someone's got to help them pay for the indoor heated pool they have there! For that $12 I get a tank of clean air with no worries about oil or water contamination. I don't have the time or energy to maintain a compressor properly. Someone may have mentioned it already and I just missed it, but seriously consider a good moisture filter with the compressor. Water corrodes the aluminum liner of the tank and this process is accelerated when under high pressure. http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=84327.0

I wish that I could say I was going to use an Omega as a backup, basically I'm just sort of in the market for a reasonably priced compressor that works good, Ken I'll be monitoring your use of the new compressor in hopes that it does what it's supposed to. For now I'll continue going to the dive shop for $5 a tank full, I know that I'm getting some good air that way
