Thanks!! I can't figure out any way to do justice to the actual color in a picture. It's House of Kolor Passion Purple Pearl with matte clear. I have lots of toys that color so why not guns I figured. I quote my wife Cheryl. "Looks like it belong to you now." I rest my case.

It is. Has a ton of pearl in it. I'll get some pics in the sunlight tomorrow. It's ridiculously expensive ($125 for a quart of base) but worth it. This is the first time that I've used the matte clear. I think it turned out pretty cool but I kinda got a thing for purple. Seems pretty much every toy I have gets to be that color.

Terry... If I'm not mistaken, I posted in one of your other threads about not even having to shoot that at your target. Just point at it and it would die of fear.   Myyyyy Brother, The color is awesome..... but..... it almost makes one want to run up and hug it now. Or worse yet... lick it.

My Boyd's stock is called Royal and is a purple and grey laminate stock . Makes the Marauder look like a million bucks

Well it has already been a great conversation piece with all the additions without the new look, but will be more so now. 


It reminds me of the time I painted my bicycle purple as a young lad.  It became an instant conversation piece amongst my neighborhood friends.  My dad did keep his thoughts about it quiet and just said "whatever you like".  So whatever you like.

Thanks Scott! Wasn't sure how it was going to be received. A bit outside the box but I guess that's pretty normal for me.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what the rest of us think anyway.  It's definitely one of a kind. It would be worth the price of admission to see you take it to the range and just watch the reactions. 

I think you should name the rifle "Marvin", because it makes me think of Marvin the Martian.

Thanks Mark. I'm usually on the edge on most everything I've ever painted. lol... Pass on naming it Marvin. It's already been dubbed "Purple Rain."
