As the nut did not move a bit first I also thought it might be secured by Loctite e.g. But when I cut all the way thru the parts came loose easily - no LT or such.
Also no further securing by a crossbolt anywhere. That would have been some overkill though.

That really sounds like a threaded shrink fit, with just a couple mils of interference, such that when you cut it the strain was relieved and it comes right apart.

You think your tool was binding the so light clearance?

For it to be that lose on the cutting is strange. But once cut the thread pressure was releived.

On that gun you really need to remove the Barrel intact to get your measuements. Or take good measurements. If the rear attachment is removed unharmed even the thread count might be important.

That will be a tricky gun to rebarrel.  What size wrench was that you made.

I think by the time, that is if you can remove the attachment, buy a barrel and labor or your time tone would be better off to just buy a barrel assembly. JMO

I've cut the barrel end/block first half way crosswise, then along thru the middle for the cutaway, then the remaining half bit crosswise.
That loosened it.

The wrench was 11mm. This was my scatch for crafting the wrench, with dimensions (all in mm).
Can't really tell what the thread is by now - something unusual for sure.
I'm also working on a scatch for the whole barrel assembly - just takes some time.

You might be right ! You can turn it loose the common way - counter clockwise.
Sorry if I was wrong there, some english terms are still not common to me.

The thread seems to be M12 x 0,75 Metrisches ISO-Feingewinde.
