I,m using a Electric Power Wheelchair Motor Gearbox, brought it off of Ebay..They have a very low rpm.

those are mostly 24v ,, so running it off 12 v battery is no issue, just half rpm/

some people suggested this earlier in the thread, im not sure the threads are the same though.. The foster you do have is right, they just seem to come defective in craftmanship

I just had a revelation on the Chinese pump hose threads. I read the description of my pump more closely and it states that the hose output thread is M10x1 and the QD is 8mm. I measured the thread of the male hose end and sure enough, it is M10x1. This means that neither the 1/8 BSPP nor the 1/8 NPT quick disconnects are correct for this application. I was, however, able to get the 1/8 NPT QD to thread most of the way on to it and it is working for me. Also, I have not been able to find a M10x1 female to either 1/8 BSPP or 1/8 NPT male adapter so as to be able to use one of the above mentioned QD's correctly. Mystery solved for me at least.

well , 1/8npt will force thread into alot of threads, and actually create a good seal.. I know the safety police will hate this but its true

might be one use if the threads get mangled.

yep, 1 is 27tpi , other is 25.4 tpi, so probably meshed just fine.

..Not enough power with the wheelchair motor, so I,ll stay with my Hill pump powered by a double action air cylinder..

I replaced the white oring in the bleed screw with one they supplied and it fixed the problem. I still have to find where that drip of oil came from and if it is going to continue dripping. I topped off my 2240 hpa conversion that has the 2260 tube from 1200 to 1900 in about 10 to 15 strokes. I forgot to count. It held great. I reported my results to them and they rewarded me with a refund..... 8%.... $5.62. Hey, it's a tin of winnies.

Not yet, that is on today's agenda.
I'll tell you what I do have... I nice little to go bag with a pair of 2240 HPA 16" barrel .177 carbines and a hand pump. All wrapped in a soft tactical carry case.

If the oil you are seeing is at the bottom bumper o-ring it's just accumulation of the lube from the outer tube. Every other pump i rub a thin dab of silicone grease and wipe the accumulated one at the bottom.

That's exactly where it was. A small droplet or two slowly drizzled down onto the black lower frame from just under that bumper o-ring. I wiped it off and it has yet to show again.

I am totally new to this whole PCP world having had a Sheridan Blue Streak for years as a teenager. I have just purchased an M10 and have a MaxAir MkII on order.

I have been reading quite a bit about hand pumps, condensation, desiccant etc. Everyone seems to have a different take on their setup and what really works and what doesn't. I'm spending more and more $$$ trying to come up with a home-brew desiccant "AirDryer" that is going to actually dry the air enough to overcome the inevitable condensation from compression. In all my reading the small desiccant intake "Moisture Filters" that are available should not be removing enough water from the air to make any meaningful difference.

Bottom line - who is having condensation issues with their hand pumps and their air rifle-pistol? or is this whole condensation thing a non-issue?

If it is an issue, what have PCP shooters using Hand Pumps done to really-finally overcome this problem?
