I wuz gonna buy his last one anyway but someone else bought it first. I even called my dive shop to see what a hydro would cost--$29. No biggie. I don't NEED it just found it hard to resist because of the price. I've got a 74 cubic foot cf tank and a scuba tank. Now I don't have to resist anymore, problem solved! Ed
You can get the scba hand tight adapter and scuba block from Joe B and still use your scuba fill adapter, just don't fill anything with it over 3000 psi. I have one on the tank pictured, I added a 6000 psi street elbow to it to allow easier connection to the tank when used in this cradle though. Sorry, forgot picture was taken before adding the elbow, makes filling and seeing the gauge much easier.

How much did that cost?It wouldn't be used over 3K but the tank would be filled to 4500.Ed
Thanks Terry! That sounds pretty reasonable. Did you get your foster fitting replacement yet?Ed

I'm thinking of buying a used SCBA tank and using this adapter with a scuba fill station I already have.Whattaya think guys? I really can't go for a $150+ adapter/hose from JoeB and don't want to look all over to get the parts to make one. Don't want to do anything stupid either! Me thinks the worst that can happen is it leaks, right?Ed

Me thinks the worst that can happen is it leaks, right?EdHi All, I am waiting on delivery (1/20/'17) of a 45 minute (65 CF) Scott tank (4500 psi) from the fella that made this video. Born date = 2008. His Name is Noel and a GTA member (Pompilla) from CA. He has / had? an ad in the Members Classified Gate for these tanks and I bought one from him. After I get the first tank, I'm thinking of another one since he offered a price break. The first tank was $150, free shipping, no hydro. He charges me $20 for an adapter that fits the scuba yoke fill station. If anyone in the Aurora IL area knows of a hydro test supplier please leave a note here or PM me. Looking forward to this new huge-to-me air source for my 3000 psi fills on 3 Hatsans. Dave
Terry,I was leery of using a 3000 psi rated scuba adapter on a 4500 psi tank as shown in the video. I like the peace of mind of having all my components rated for 4500 psi and over. It really isn't all that more price wise for the higher rated parts. I just received my first order from North Shore Compressor & Machine of two hand tight cga-347 adapters, a female quick disconnect and a npt nipple. I bought two regulated fill stations from ebay that I need to setup and test. I placed the order Tuesday morning and received it today. Pretty quick shipping from Minnesota to suburbs outside of Chicago.TasoP.S. Did anyone else's heart skip a beat when the tank started rolling off the bench in the video? Mine definitely did.
