OK, lets see if we can take this project through the home stretch this weekend.

As I mentioned you can screw the Evanix trigger guard directly to the pistol grip ( Big, big bonus for sure )





Before epoxying the bottom piece I needed to take measurements for the hole where eventually the bolt that secures the stock to the action goes






I only made a pilot hole so in case ( very likely  ) my measurements weren't perfect I'll have some wiggle room as I open it up.



I got me some plastic welder for the project




But 1st I set the piece in place with Super glue




Next, before pouring in the epoxy mask the outside so there's no run of and it actually shapes the glue




After pouring the epoxy I than placed 2 pieces of rope to fill in the gaps and give a bit more strength over all to glue and stock




Sidenote, this was never intended to be a showroom piece but a beat trough the bush hunter ( hopefully it does come out solid ), I'll do a bit of polishing/sanding here and there but I'm not planning to make it all pretty 


Let it rest now for a day and resume tomorrow.

I've used Devcon at work for a variety of "field repairs " on heavy equipment . This is some serious crack filler . I've patched a 8"x10" hole in the side of an engine block with nothing more than devcon and a piece of tin . Good stuff and good work Manny.

Yeah, this plastic epoxy is hard as rock

Did a bit of work today strengthening up a few things, I need to go and buy a longer screw to bolt the stock to the action,.....very close now

Today I got 2 hex screws a bit longer than the stock one, for anybody interested they are M6 x 1.0



Also I got a big washer, reason is to spread the load on a bigger surface



For that same reason (to make sure the stock can take the load) yesterday I placed a grid of ropes on the inside of the stock and set everything in Plastic Welder




Also, I didn't like the joints from the ad on to the stock on the outside so I fill them with some more Epoxy and covered them with industrial strength velcro ( you will see in the end how it will all tie in )




I did ad a piece of Weaver rail I had left over from an other project just ahead of the air gauge.



That was mainly to be able to have an angled Magpul grip on the rifle,...I've been a huge fan of the angled Magpul since the fist time I tried one




I think I'll finish everything up today ( barring set backs )

so next time I post should be with pictures of the completed project.

OK, it's all done !!!!

1st of all, I couldn't believe that my Mikey mouse measuring worked, but it did and the hole in the stock is perfectly alligned with the action


I did have to go get a 1" washer because the 1 1/2" was to big.

since washer only some shiny yesterday I decided I was going to cover it with Velcro ( that's why I did the joints too )

Now time to set everything up and go shoot

I just shot the gun and I'm happy to report that there was no change in POI, that is important because it means the new stock isn't putting undue pressure on any vitals

The scope I had on just looks to big in this set up so I'm right now swapping it with the one I have on my .25
After that I'll take all the final pictures of the completed gun.


Ho yeah btw, unlike most collapsable AR stocks out there  this one doesn't really have any play and therefore is very quiet.

I was going to shim the trigger blade to make it drop a bit ( and I might still do ) but I like the option of being able to go from one stock to the other and it's still comfortable to shoot as is.

Honestly I'm pretty darn stoked with the finished product, it definitely exceeded all my expectations,
when I placed the order at Amazon was kind of a dive in the dark but it turned out as good as I could have hoped in my wildest dreams

All I can say is, WOW! Nice work! I contemplated getting one in .25, but like variety in look and feel as well as caliber. Youve certainly shown in ca be adapted to another dress!
