3 AM here, Just finished the last paint on what I wanted to bring! Going to get up and load things in the (late!) morning, and head out.

Happy to say, there WILL be buffalo available for the big bores guys XD

Its good to meet new faces get new people to join GTA. Today was great windy but nice and a little warm. Hargis and his bride did burgers and hotdogs for lunch. Other then that it was great. Looking forward to tomorrow

The effect of my peers is effecting me.. I'm suffering from memory loss at times and cramoing. Good groups of guys tho. The visitors were so impressed with the niceness of GTA members and how willing.they would let strangers shoot there guns

Yep, another fantastic day of seeing old friends and meeting new ones. THIS is what it's all about, absolutely. We had some visitors travel several hours because they HEARD about our event. They were expecting more of an airgun show than the actual fun shoot. When I asked if they were members, they said they would join tomorrow. What was the membership dues? LOL
Well....none.

They said they would return tomorrow for the festivities and shooting. Fantastic.
Was great to get out and mingle and was actually coaxed (didn't take much) to sit down long enough to get behind the trigger of some VERY awesome airguns from Travis & Jim and Tom. I wish I had lots of money (like Rocker), I would certainly have at least one Slayer and one FLEX in my herd!!!! Maybe someday. Teresa said I would have to sell some before I could buy more. Trouble with that is most of mine are connected by some story or history. And I have a very hard time selling my memories.
Anyway, praise the Big Guy for giving us absolutely beautiful weather all day today. A bit windy but we all managed to have a great time. Tomorrow it is forecast to be chilly, just the lower 50's. As long as the rain holds off, I think we can handle a little nip in the air. We will have more folks arriving just for tomorrows activities, will have our usual Saturday lunch feast, have our customary paintball shooting competition, awards presentations and announcement of raffle prize winners. And we have some awesome items, thanks to our generous members and vendors.
Overall, I am terribly happy with this years event. The only real hitch we had for this Friday 13th was a drain issue in the vendor building.

Hargis worked on it most of the afternoon and said he would stay tonight until it was fixed. THANK you Hargis and Amy for all you have done for us!!!

Another Fun Shoot is now in the record books. A great event even if the weather did not cooperate today. Was rather windy and a brisk 48 degree. Made the paintball shoot a bit uncomfortable. I will also apologize that there was some confusion on some folks part regarding the divisions. LOL
So, instead of having 3 groups (springer, pcp & big bore) we only had two. Springer and pcp. Big bores snuck into the pcp category. But we pressed onward. For future reference, there are 3 categories.

Anything .257 caliber and above is Big Bore.....
Anyway, many thanks to all of you that came out and participated. It was fantastic to see our old friends and meet new ones. I believe the crazy weather made the turnout less than we expected. We can make up for it next year.

And I certainly hope to see many of our friends that could not make this one, show up next year. Teresa and I are exhausted but it's a very rewarding tired. You guys made it worth it!!!
I'll post another thank you to the great members and vendors that donated items and cash to help with the event. It wouldn't have been as good without your help!!!
And again, many thanks to the fantastic members that came early and stayed late to help with setup and teardown/cleanup. And a GREAT big thanks to Hargis and Amy for hosting us hooligans again this year!!!
No finer folks can be found.
Thank you all. Hitting the bed to rest a bit before hitting the road in the morning. I hope everyone enjoyed the event and please have a safe trip home!!!

I would love to thank everybody involved !! What a great event for us shooters ! I got to see some fantastic air guns and I got to shoot the Slayer several times, thanks Tom for taking time out of your schedule to show us your rifles ! I got a few shots off with the FLEX, AWESOME ! I met too many people to mention but indeed, no finer people. Thank you Hargis and family for being spectacular hosts. It is a privilege to belong to such an honest and generous community.

Thanks a million to everybody at the Fun Shoot !

had a good time at this years fun shoot . even got lucky with the raffle meet some really nice people who were kind enough to allow me to try out their guns thanks again. Wife and I are already planning to attend the next one. We will be looking for fun shoots and shows near us Congrats to everyone that won in the Raffle and the paintball shoot I would have taken my hat off to you but was afraid the wind would blow it away how some of you hit those little things not sure how you did it with your fingers crossed as they had to have been.

Well, looks like I missed another good time. I'm glad everyone managed to enjoy themselves even without my electrifying personality and Betty Lou's jaw dropping shooting abilities. We were there in spirit (probably explains the weather). We'll make it to one soon for sure. Congrats to the winners, which IMO, is everyone who attended. Looking forward to pictures. By the looks of the number of newcomer introductions on the first page of the forum, all those that said they would join did. Welcome to all. Get in, sit down and buckle up, this is one heck of a ride.

Sorry, couldn't make it this year. Maybe next year. Wish you had better weather, especially for the members that drove for many hours to get there. I know it's about the people, at least it was for me, but bad weather can be a downer.

If you look for rooms up in Florence, it is only 20 minutes away, and you have a bunch of comfortable places to stay. Dave, you said the Ramada was low end, I have usually found them that to be the case. I guess maybe being cheap and close was the upside. Wished I had hooked up with you guys this year.

Dave, your efforts are always appreciated.

My first time.
Had a great time met a lot of nice folks.
Good food, good time and just plane fun.
Got a chance to see some great guns and some fine shooters.
I'm also planning on next year and will join the shooters.
Sorry for those that missed it. Hope to see you all next year.
