Quote from: Rob112o on January 26, 2015, 10:43:51 PMI believe the only ones with the aluminum valves where the 2010-2012 392 and 397s. Look at the date on serial number first 4 digits is the date when made.Is it the first three or first four? Mine 392pa is # 5987067xxx I thought it was a May 98 but the first four makes it somewhere in 87?

I just bought a 397PA myself, and pumping is alot harder than my 2100 Crosman! I haven't been able to chrony mine (poor weather conditions), but holds air and seems to operate properly. I'd be interested in the numbers after seal replacement. Not sure about accuracy either... Every few months I forget how poorly I shoot iron sites and need to be reminded. I'm seriously considering the Ballistic Enterprise mount versus sending it to Mac1 for scope grooves to be cut. Otherwise it'll just be a gun rack queen to sit alongside my Diana 36.
aviator, did you see the one in the gta classifieds?? might be a good deal, for you.
Congratulations on getting the new shooter. Shooting 790 fps at 8 pumps sounds about right to me. Bryan
