Poor thing,They are everywhere this year and so stupid. Just like us guys when I used to rut. You know swollen neck glazed eyes but it did smell good. BTW do we live that close? I'm just off 59 north of Livingston.Bobhttp://polkcountytoday.com/acc111515b.htmlCheck this out Someone else
I lived in Maine for 2 winters, and was always warned about moose. They sometimes go through the windshield. Never happened to me, now I have a Camaro so I expect the deer to fly over the roof of the car. (I am old and know the advantages of full coverage insurance) LOL
Bill, they are steadily moving north across the nation. I saw a dead one on I-65 in Kentucky last year. I figure that they will be in Long Island by 2020. Watch out, Don!

I figure that they will be in Long Island by 2020. Watch out, Don!When we first moved down here a couple years ago Betty Lou was sitting on the front porch and heard some noise under it. She looked over the handrail just in time to see one run out from under and across the yard. At the time the gunshop was in the far back room of the house. I thought Michael Myers paid a visit the way she screamed. She told me she just saw a rat with a motorcycle helmet on. And so our southern Alabama adventure began. I've seen her almost jump out of the boat when my brother in law followed a gator into the bayou and knock patio furniture clean off the porch to get away from a bore bee.. um Betty Lou, hunny.. they don't have stingers. We have a wrap around deck at the place we live now, she will look out every window in the house for snakes before she lets Rambo the rescue dog out and does a full body search for ticks when he comes back in (Rambo does enjoy this, however, she makes me check for my own). Never a dull moment around our place.Sorry, all that has nothing to do with hitting a deer. Again, glad everyone is OK.
A friend in West Virginia was a WV State Trooper; and he stated one day that he had hit MANY deer. Of course, I had to ask: Did you hit a bunch of them at one time, or did you hit them one at a time? He even hit one in his supervisor's unit. That did not come out well! He was in a high speed chase when one stepped out into his path. He said he did not to hit the brakes until after the impact. When I was up there, I didn't drive after dark for fear of those that are plentiful in Charleston.[/quoteI travel there frequently and if you cross the Kanawha over into South Charleston they are everywhere. If your not careful coming down the hill from the airport you can get killed by one lol
