My 36 has destroyed more a couple "Shockproof" Tasco scopes. Not to mention some Bushnells, Simmons and Leipers UTG. Most did not last 100 pellets.

I just came in from the wind 25-45mph winds today, just shot some nice 1' groups with my D34. I enjoy shooting in the wind, lots of fun. I hope you find a good sub $100 scope. when you do be sure to let us know. I know I would like a scope in that size and price for my HW30. good luck and happy shooting.I wait until the wind is at least 60 mph then I know I can shoot 1/4 inch groups at 85 yds

I won't say you need a tune, or that you would see a performance increase if you did, but I can tell you an airgun is all about the designed timing of the piston cycle ending as close as possible to a fast end without slamming at the end of that cycle. If it's a leather seal maybe it could use a new one, or perhaps selecting another pellet that seals better might still be accurate, especially in the hands of an expert shooter (which undoubtedly you are judging just by the groups even if someone fails to read the thread).I'm not saying the piston is slamming, but I would imagine if it came to rest at the end of the shot cycle a hair slower the FPS would not suffer tremendously, and your scopes might just live longer?Just my $.02

Something has to be not right with it. It just such a sweet shooting gun like it is. I am torn. Everything else says it is fine, but it breaks scopes, so something must be wrong. What to do?
Slap one of them broken scopes back on there and call up the best springer shooter you know. Let him give her a go. So far it has broken more than a couple shockproof Tasco scopes- that is at least three. Not to mention, some bushnells, simmons, and leapers/UTG. That is more than three more, for more than six scopes broken by this beast. I hate to tell you brother, but I think the nut behind the trigger is loose. That is an expression, just to be clear. Especially on a gun professed to be such a smooth shooter. My luck hasn't been near as bad on many guns that are known for breaking scopes.

If snarky comments are all you have to offer please stop wasting space here. I'd like to see your groups at thirty yards in the wind.
I need day-to-day consistency for hunting, and at my age I hate wasting time and lead.
