Yard Rules Enforced: Attention All Nutters

The Nutters have really been hitting my song bird feeders hard this fall.

I've decided to thin them out.

The rules are as follows... No male Nutters allowed on the feeders.

Today four Grays & one Red came in.

The first three Grays that came in were able to dine on the ground peacefully.

I was able to confirm two as young males. The third was uniquely colored, black nose, barely any white on the belly and lots of reddish brown accents. Unfortunately couldn't sex that bugger.

They didn't break the yard rules but the Red that came in did. But I couldn't determine if it was boy or not.

Then a huge Gray male came in scaring all of the squirrels out of the yard. He behaved and stayed on the ground cleaning up spilled seed.

Since everyone was in line I decided to knock out some yard work. Later in the day I came in for a beer break and spotted the healthy Gray male back at the feeder. This time he decided to dine on the suet I put out for the Woodpeckers. Mistake.

As he reached twisting upside from the telephone pole to the suet cage, I placed the BT65's crosshairs on his head and sent the Benjamin Dome 17 yards.

After impact the Nutter's reflex instincts kept him clinging to the pole/feeder ledge, dangling while massive blood loss weakened his grip.

He dropped and with a twitch was dead.
