Scope cam test #2 - night time video

Hey guys, I've been experimenting with the scope cam some more and I was wondering if it would be possible to get a decent picture at night.  Illumination in this case is from a low output red LED flashlight hanging above the bait station.

Our star of tonight's movie lives to see another day but I'm told there's a mischievous bandit that has developed a taste for chicken.  The live kind, that is.  So there just may be an encore presentation following this video soon.

That video came out great Jason, very clear picture. The only recommendation I would make is to use a light with a wider beam or light up a larger area if possible. If you do shoot one, right after the shot it would probably move some and be in complete darkness as is.
Either way, looking forward to the encore.

Nice. You can see everythng very well. What camera are you using? I have a camera mount but cannot get my sony action camera to shoot through the scope. Its driving me crazy.

Thanks Jerry!  It was maddening trying to get it to focus.  I have about 4 minutes of video before that which was out of focus.  Gotta figure that part out.

Good idea on the lighting, I'll see if I can find something that will bathe a larger area.

Onebaddj, it's just an iPhone 5s.  Made a simple mount with ABS pipe and fittings.  Photos are in a previous thread from a few days ago.

As Tater mentioned go with more light. I've actually used LED headlamps mounted to a tree, pole ect. and the light doesn't bother the critters. I've done countless night pest control hunt's in area's where it is pitch black with just a headlamp lighting the baitpile and the critters had no problem standing under the lamp to present a nice shot. Ed
