I started to think you had a different cs in Canada. Guess not. Customer service is THE reason I bought my last 2 air rifles from them. They better listen up!

Hello Ed, I am dealing with Crosman in the USA, no cs in Canada just a distributer that takes it's orders from Crosman. I left them alone, it is Crosman I have a problem with.
I just recieved a phone call from, guess who, Crosman. Same rep, after a little talk, I have them sending me a different scope with AO, and I also have them paying for shipping back of the replacement they sent me. You could tell by the tone in her voice she was not calling out of the goodness of her heart but because she had to.
This is a good thing. Not over yet but closer.

For the most part, Crosman customer service is A+. Due in no small part, to dealing with customers that are a little more airgun savvy than most. I guess they can't get it right every time. But at least they are eating a little bit of crow instead of trying to be bullheaded.
Another thing they do right is customer support, warranties aside they are great about helping you get what you need for home repairs and projects.
Don't let this one bad experience sour you on them.

Bryan, they had their chance three times to help me, failed every time and I was nice about it. After the first phone call I new there was going to be a problem so I just listened and prepared for the complaint I knew I was going to have to file if I was going to get anywhere. Right now I have no use for Crosman but it does feel good to have my foot on their neck

Glad to see they've come around and did the right thing..........finally. All you were asking for was scope that had the same features as the one that died. Pretty darn simple. AO is very important to me, as are mil-dots. Hopefully your replacement will have those instead of their TAG reticle. Let us know.

Old Corps, I told them to send whatever as long as it has AO, I am ok with the scope that came with the rifle.

I'm not saying you were wrong. On the contrary, hold them accountable, by all means. I've been rooting for you from the start, and I balked when you told us they were sending such a scope for your air rifle.
The other side of that coin, is Crosman has done right by a whole lot more people than they have shafted. I think their better customer service is probably a direct result of being held accountable when they mess it up. Accountability is everything! But don't let the bad first impression aour you on them for life. You'll be cheating yourself.

I recieved an e-mail from Canadian Distributer, the scope will be on it's way in a couple days. Also had a response from Crosman to my BBB complaint, they said they are sending a replacement scope and customer does not have to send Tag scope back. So I guess my brother gets a spare rifle scope. I guess it was not worth the cost to ship it back.

Yeah Bryan, it evened out in the end. I have one of those Centerpoint holo sights I had to send back, showed double reticles right out of the box, replacement came today , exact same problem, double reticles new out of the box, not worth sending back again.

Wow, that pretty much stinks. I have four different CP scopes and they've all been fine--so far. I'm a little confused. Did you end up with one decent AO scope you can actually use?

That was one of those cheap holographic red dot type sights that was no good. The first scope they sent I opened up the clamshell package once I new they did not want it back, checked it out, definately not an air rifle scope. The tag reticle arrows are not evenly spaced , they are calibrated for different ranges for high power hunting rifles, view through scope at higher magnification is blurry at close range ( I knew it would be ) and the reticle when illuminated is very thick. The second scope they are sending me to replace the Tag scope has not arrived yet, that is the one with the AO.

Gotcha. I'm curious as to what scope you end up with, please let us know. I'm wondering if they'll still have an AO scope with mil-dots. I agree that I wouldn't want that TAG reticle for an air rifle.

The scope they are sending is the same as the one that came with the rifle originally, 3-9x40mm AO, mildot which is a step up from the Tag scope in my opinion.

I agree, at least for an air rifle. I've got 2 of those. One came on my NPS the other on my XL1100 like yours. Guess I've been lucky, mine performed fine on the XL. Just swapped it for the 4-16X40 because I could. Best of luck with replacement.

I recieved the replacement scope today, it has AO but not mildot reticle, it has a duplex reticle. Mounted it on the rifle and checked the grouping. I used H&N baracuda match 10.5gr, 4.51diam. pellets to test, i was getting one hole groups at 15 yards, the scope has held up for 10 shots so far, a good sign. It is also different than the one that came with the rifle, it has covered turrets which is a plus and the AO adjustment ring is different. The objective focuses down to 5 yards also and the markings are accurate. My brother is satisfied with the scope so it is a happy ending.

Old corps mildot would have been nice, might have sent it back again if it was my scope but it is for my brother's rifle and he is satisfied with it. It was supposed to be mildot but they could not even get that right.
