Nice 4X32 scope, $10 shipped

a little comparison between the $6.99 M11010000 and $8.99 SS047 Horton scopes from Natchez:

-- eye relief is the same on both, around 2.5"
-- SS047 is longer, can be used on single-shot top-load PCP's, the objective bell is forward enough to clear the loading port.
-- Brightness is about the same on both. M11010000 has a little higher resolution (slightly eaiser to detect details), but SS047 is very clear by itself. Neither has noticeable "barrel" distortion around the edges.
-- SS047 has noticeblely wider field of view, by maybe 10~15%, more suitable for hunting.


*For mag-fed PCP or spring-piston, the M11010000 and SS047 are about the same, 11010000 has slightly higher res but SS047's wider view is also nice;
*For low-end single shot PCP's (FDPCP, QB78/79, B50/51), the SS047 fits nicely;
*For "tactical" stuff such as my newly acquired ($34, refurbished, from Natchez) MK-177, the compact 110100000 is a great fit

I might get a few more of SS047 myself, they are better fit for my QB/FDpcp needs. (I now have too many 11010000's, will probably keep some of them in the package and sell them on ebay later on, after they have became the "Legendary little Horton scope"  )

man, these " cheap" scopes seem to be costing me a lot $ ....

also got the refurb $34 Mk-177 in the same order, and surprisingly, the MK-177 is not a "dressed-up 760" (like the M4-177 is). The MK177 has a 2240 size tube and larger piston and probably a 2240 size valve, should have quite a bit of power potential.

But, when adjusting it for a focused picture, the crosshairs may go our of focus. Some scopes, if you remove the threaded ring at the very front of the scope, have another ring under that, that can be used to focus the crosshairs. I have a Centerpoint like that. I wonder if these have that feature. Note, this is not considered an AO scope, and is not a feature that everyone knows about. This was pointed out on www.airgunweb.com.

I never heard of something like that but good to know and something to check for in inexpensive scopes.

I believe the factory specs state it is set for 50 yd parallax. It has a threaded retaining ring on the front element, but it appears just to keep it in a fixed position.

Not sure which model # of the Crossbow scope I have, but I got mine last year on ebay for under $10. There IS a ring underneath the outer front ring that WILL adjust the objective. If you look inside the ring you will see that the lense has a threaded ring and there is a notch on each side of it. Loosen the outer ring and then use an o-ring pick or ice pick to rotate the lens in or out to focus. Once focused just use the pick to hold the notch in the position it is in and then tighten the outer ring. If you do not hold the lense it will try to turn along with the outer ring.

I set both of mine to be perfectly clear at 25yds, but they will focus closer

  If that's the case, then this should make a very nice little scope for, at least, multi pumps, CO2 shooters, and single pump air rifles (like the Daisy 953).

You can adjust the $6.99 scope as per the posts above. I did it to mine when I put it on my 953.

This is what you need to adjust for closer object.  I turned about one full turn counter clockwise to focus down to 15 yards.  The reticle still looks sharp.  Use the back of a butter knife to turn the ring will work also.

Great tip.  Thanks. I just did this on the 1 I blew up and put back together.  Guess you could say it was my guinea pig.  Now I need to do this to my good 1 for 10 meter target shooting
