I couldn't resist and ordered 3 a few weeks ago. Also ordered some cheap ($4) Tasco rings to use with them, total price came down to $15 per set (scope + rings), shipped.

A little review on the scopes:
-- Build quality is quite good. Not Nikon good, but on par with scopes costing $50~$100.
-- optic clarity is very good. Comparing to my Hawke 2-7x32 AO HD (low end model Hawke, around $70, bought from PyramydAir) set to 4x, this $10 Horton scope is at least as bright as my Hawke, and a bit more clear around the edges. The Hawke HD has noticeable "barrel" distortion around the edge while this Horton doesn't have that problem.
-- I bought these scopes mainly to put onto my low end single-shot PCP's (FDPCP, Bam B50/51, QB79), but it turned out that they are not very suitable for open-top single-shot breech-load pcp's: the eye relief is only ~2.5" so the ocular piece needs to be relatively close to the eye therefore the scope pretty much has to be mounted at the rear edge of the receiver/action. And being a short scope, the objective bell is then almost directly above the loading port, blocking the fingers movement when loading pellets. I can see these scopes being a good fit on a mag-fed rifle, or something with loading port further forward (springers, pcp arrow-guns).

Over all, very nice scopes for the very little money paid. I was so impressed I ordered three more.

*For those who can not justify the "high" shipping cost: if paying $13 shipping for three little scopes is too expensive, how about adding a  Crosman MK-177 tactical multi-pump ($33.59, refurbished) to the order? Add the Mk-177 and guess what, the shipping is still the same $13. I think this compact scope and the MK-177 will work great together (MK-177 uses the little 5-shot stick mags so is a mag-fed).

(the holidays are coming fast, a "mk-177+ scope" combo can make some (little/big) kid very happy)


*a less compact Horton 4x32 crossbolt scope is also available from Natchez at $8.99

Mounted mine on a 12 fpe tuned XS46 today. The eye relief is quite short, might need to get an offset mount. However, it survived through my afternoon of pesting. 16 shots fired and it held perfectly.

Thanks Kevin, nice review. I have bought a total of 10 and none have grenaded yet. Just put one a recently acquired Hatsan 125/.25 (Known scope killer) and it has held for 50+ shots. Even sold one at a garage sale for $30....guess that pays for the shipping and more on the rest.....lol.

The $6.99 HM1101000 (the ones we are talking about here) might fit the 909 better. It is got that "multi-range ballistic drop" reticle designed for heavy projectiles.

The $8.99 Horton HMSS047 on the other hand might work on the QB79. It is longer than HM1101000, the objective bell might clear the loading port better. I got one coming, should be here in a few days.

* these scopes are of rather nice quality and deserve the "normal" ($10~$15) ring sets. The $4 Tasco rings are too cheaply made and I regret buying them (these rings do work but don't fit the rails very well, especially on the FDPCP).

There are various Horton scopes being sold at "clearance" prices, I did some "research" before ordering, might as well share the notes here:
(I have to say, the Horton stuff is quite confusing)

M11010000 (the model we are discussing here) :
--4x32, $7 from Natchez, also available else where.
--4-line reticle (plus a mark for max flight height) with windage marks.
--8.6" long, eye relief 2.5". Has quick-focus ocular bell. Good build quality and good optic quality.

SS047:
--4x32 $9 from Natchez.
--5-line reticle, no windage marks.
--10" long, eye relief 2.5" (?).
--This is an old model, according to the info on the web, it is not as clear as the M11010000 and ocular bell is not quick-focus.

SS066:
--4x32, 2.5" eye-relief
-- SS047 with lighted reticle?

SS300:
-- 4x32, $25~$35 shipped on ebay.
-- 4-line reticle with windage marks.
--8.6" long.
-- now the confusing part: according to the photo of the packages I saw on ebay, the horizontal packages claim 3.27" eye-relief, the vertical packages claims " constant eye relief at 4 "; the specs found on on-line sources claim 3.5~4" eye relief.... which one is it? They all have the same SS300 model # and I suspect they are exactly the same scope, just the Horton could not make up their mind on what # to print on the packaging.
-- it might be the same as M11010000 except with the more "normal" eye-relief distance.

SS310:
-- SS300 with lighted reticle?

SS320:
-- camo verion of SS300?

SS330:
-- 2-7x32, $50~$70 shipped on ebay.
-- vertical package claims 4-3" eye relief; horizontal packaging claims 4.55~3.88" eye relief; 4-line reticle with windage marks.

SS331:
-- camo version of SS330?

At this point the real good deal seems to be the $6.99 M11010000 (which we are already buying) and maybe the $8.99 HMSS047.
(If one can live with the short 2.5" eye relief, that is).

Got mine today, everything looks good:


The scope were well packed, surrounded by packing peanuts and their catalog.


Included with the scope are lenses covers and a lenses cleaning cloth.



 


One thing I like about them is you don't need and allen wrench or screwdriver
to adjust the turrets and they have good solid clicks when adjusting.


For know one of them is going on my crosman mk1 pistol/carbine
Got it mounted real quick, but I'll have to level and sight it in later.

Sorry to hear that, did you check into having it serviced by Hatsan? I've had very good luck with Hatsan service, nice folks to deal with. Last time I looked, FS still had some 135 refurbs in stock, maybe they could cut you a better deal on one of those since they are out of 125's?

Sorry to hear that, did you check into having it serviced by Hatsan? I've had very good luck with Hatsan service, nice folks to deal with. Last time I looked, FS still had some 135 refurbs in stock, maybe they could cut you a better deal on one of those since they are out of 125's?

I thought about it, but it also appeared to have a bent (upwards) barrel. I really liked it, but with losing power and shooting 2' high at 25 yards, I just sent it back. I do plan on keeping my eye out for another one, unless I get $299 saved for an R9 before I see another good deal...

That is unfortunate. I'd call Natchez and explain what happened, maybe send a pic of the reticle. Who knows, maybe they will replace it no charge. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I just tried some Hatsan Supreme 19.9gr pellets in the 125/.25 and got 892 fps for 35 fpe. None of the 10 scopes I bought have crapped out yet (knock on wood).

It was a $6 gamble.  It says not airgun rated so I would probably lose that battle.  I will just use the other 1 I bought for pcp/pumpers/co2.  No biggie
