We also did up the kiddo's Daisy Buck. Kind of a tiger stripe camo thing; not really that amazing, but he thinks it's cool.

But, here is an example of his work that I am honored and proud to have purchased from Gene. Gene trained Ed as a tuner when he decided to retire. So this airgun has a legacy.
Ed did several great works of art and I wish more of our members would bring theirs forward and let us all see them.

lillysdad621 - the STEN suggested itself because the magazine sticking out sideways doesn't get in the way of the underlever. It was never intended to be a faithful replica. It borrows style elements from most of the 5 STEN variants. Construction is of PVC pipe, and plastic sheets from a discarded drugstore display. You can do a lot if you have enough super glue and JB Weld. Internally it's an unmodified B3, warts and all.

When I would shoot my super streak the barrel would get little bits of rust every where my hands touched the barrel. I got so sick and tired of wiping it down that I decided to paint the whole thing. I used camo paint and sponges to come up with the pattern seen below.

Fireman - I never got up the nerve to do a camo paint job, and I admire ones that turn out as nice as yours.

Petey - The R7 looks great. How did you do the recesses in the fore end? Overarm routing?

Fireman - I know what you mean about rust on the barrel. On the barrel cockers that I use the most I have sleeved the barrels with black vinyl tubing. I heat the tubing in a pan of boiling water so it will stretch and gook up the barrel with lubricant. Believe it or not, KY works the best. Except you have to put it back where it belongs real quick so people don't ask what you're doing with it in the garage.

I'm not much into camo myself but I just couldn't take the rust issue on the barrel so I went a little nuts there. It has grown on me over the years and I like it now, but I still prefer the look of a nice wooden stock over a camo one, just a personal preference.
