I just bought a new Hatsan Carnivore .35 that was on sale at MidwayUSA. It will get the same treatment that my .30 got in a different thread. They only had one at that price. $550 shipped. Regards, Tom
Since you've already modified your air tube on the 30 cal you can just use it to get a good idea what the performance will be.
You couldn't just mark where the transport port and line it up? At the most it should not be more than a half turn if it line up before the tube is completely flush.
Loosen the reciever from the hammer housing, remove screw under bolt where magazine goes, loosen the back receiver going through the rear trigger guard screw hole, just loosen it 1 or two turns. Then remove the hex head screw with female threads that the center stock screw threads into. Tilt the receiver just enough to get the transfer port out. Don't loose track of the two o-rings, one at each end. You should then be able to remove the brass part that the cylinder air valve screws into. Then screw the brass part onto the air valve and drill through the transfer port hole. I used a .221 bit and the valve stem should be removed from the air valve. Then drill the transfer port and barrel port the same size. Be very, very careful. If you haven't done this type of thing before I would suggest you have Baxter do it. Regards, Tom
I have between 75 and 80. In the last week I've received a BSA Buccaneer .177, and a .357 Hatsan, both on sale. Three weeks ago I got a Mac1 LD SE MkI 14" .22, it's a great pistol. This coming week I get a Spa P30 Velociraptor .30, and whenever the Slayers ship, I will have one of those. I should have a Crosman Bulldog sold in the next month or so. Regards, Tom
I went out and did one shot, 864fps where it is set now. I backed the air tube off one full turn and then pushed it away from the breech so it would stay in line as close as possible. Did a shot and it was 100fps slower. Remember moving the tube out shortens the hammer stroke also. Regards, Tom
