Diana 34 recoil pad

Not that it needs one, I like the look over the stock, slightly concave butt of this rifle. Anyone know where I can get one without too much fitting. I don't care for the slip on ones.

There are two basic steps to fitting a recoil pad to your stock Diana/RWS 34. First you need to cut your stock so there is a square and even flat stock, and then you need to select a type of pad. IMHO a grind to fit pad is probably your best choice. All rubber type or Morgan Adjustable Type. Your choice. The fitting of the pad is most extensive part.........Shoot Safe and Enjoy....Bill

I've been looking at this also and have narrowed it down to one of the Pachmayr,
'Grind To Fit' offerings...
This one in the Small size looks pretty close to the size of a 34 stock
http://www.pachmayr.com/F250.php
and this one, also in Small, would require a bit more grinding and is a
bit thicker.

Here's their Home page...

Thanks guys. I had checked out several sites including the ones you've listed. I was looking for the lazy mans version. Drill two holes, slap on pad, secure screws. I don't want one bad enough to square off the stock with a saw.

I did mine on a table saw. Fine tooth blade, padded everything and squared it up solid. Did a few dry runs to be sure I could hold it steady and when I cut it, it went as planned. I used the butt pad from a Gamo Hunter ( my worst rifle that I gave away for parts ). It fit perfect.. You just can't get a good fit if you do not do the cut.

A good band saw set up works very well too. Get everything square and take it slow. After you square it off, the sky is the limit.

Another option is making your own out of 1/4" thick dense cell foam,,,avail at many fly tying supply houses in 1/4" X 2" nine inch strips.
It's durable, fexable... wouldn't require stock cutting , and easily shaped with a straight edge.
Would probably require a strong epoxy and a couple of screws to keep it on.
