I recently bought a QB79 .22 with a 13ci ninja SHP tank from the GTA classifieds. It was tuned to the hilt by Nervoustrigger for UCChris. Chris had to sell it and I got lucky to end up with it. I wanted to just say how much I love this rifle and how well it shoots. It is just as Chris gave it to me and the RVA is set to 23fpe. I don't plan to do anything to it unless I absolutely have to, it's shooting so good right now. Also cannot believe how Jason got this trigger so smooth. I have polished both triggers on my 78's and lubed with moly and they don't even compare.
Mounted a brand spankin new UTG 3-12x44 swat scope and shot a few groups at 25 yards with a bipod. (I'm no crack shot, and I'm pretty sure this QB is more accurate than I am)
Thank you Chris for this gem and thank you Jason for building it!!

I love my 78's too but wanted something that I could shoot outside in the colder months and also drop the occasional tree rat with.

Hey Tweeter,
That gun was re-built by
Jason
with all the TLC that could be added. My advice, don't ever sell it!!
I'm amazed that UCChris did?
Have fun

Yes me too, but I believe it was an unfortunate set of events that led to him having to sell some of his gear. As you know Kirk (because you've been graciously answering all my questions) I've been thinking about putting one of these together myself for some time and in the process read Nervoustrigger' thread about this rifle about a dozen times so when it came up for sale I jumped on it. Really glad to have it and plan to hold on to it. Just want to say thanks everyone for the advice and help you have given me and thank you to UCChris and Nervoustrigger for answering all my questions about this air rifle.

Hey Justin,
That's great to see, I'm glad you're having fun with it!
Just one question though, why'd you put so much space between those holes on the Birchwood Casey targets?

Oh, I did that on purpose...
I've never used a bipod before now always used a front bag. I thought the bipod would be more stable but its not, atleast not to me yet but Im sure it will be with some practice. Gonna shoot some more at 25 yards, get some practice in and then try my luck at 50 yards.
I was just getting warmed up

Shot a few more groups today, at 25 yards they were ragged holes well under .5" ctc and the 50 yard group on the right measured just over .5". I'm also happy that my scope seems to be in line with the bore because judging by the center of my groups the windage didn't change with distance just the elevation.

I am going to back the RVA off a bit because it makes a nice crack with the power turned up, a bit too loud with neighbors...

That's a nice 50 yard group on the right! And the one on the left proves it wasn't a fluke. You weren't kidding a few days ago when you said you were just getting warmed up
I'm also glad to see you're getting good results with the 15.9gr. It's often overlooked but I've had some tins that were fantastic and Coldking over on the yellow put down some ridiculous 100 yard groups with it out of a Steyr. How's that for an apples-to-oranges comparison?

I wish I had more room to shoot, it's about 53 yards from my house to the tree line where I built my backstop. My backstop is built on 4x4 posts in the ground so I have to move my table to change distances kind of a pain but I'm lucky to be able to shoot at home.
I have only shot a few groups with 18.1's and they didn't do as good as the 15's. Maybe it was because the power was turned down to about 23 fpe then? Could be a number of things I suppose... I'll crank 'er up and try the 18.1's again.

I would say it's definitely worth trying. In my experience the 18.1gr edges out the 15.9 in most rifles but accuracy is a complicated animal. Some tins just don't shoot as well as others in a particular rifle. I tried a few different batches of 15.9gr and 18.1gr when I was testing it and found some in both weights that grouped really well, so if the 18.1s you have now don't group well, I recommend you put a tin in your cart the next time you order pellets because it is a wonderful thing when you find the magic pellet. The tin Chris had, for example, drilled 25 flies in a row at 30 yards...printed flies, that is.
