Can it be flipped open? Here in this lovely state the cops will take your knife hold it close to their chest with their elbow closed and fling their arm open as hard as they can. If the blade budges even 1/10 of an inch they will declare it a gravity knife and arrest you.

I got several of knives. My everyday knife I use for maintenance the last 3 years is a small Leatherman c33. Most useful part of the tool? Clearly, the bottle opener.

Yep but only if you do a push button style flip (preload) I can test that and see if it budges its got a decent detent...

Did that test for you and I didn't get it to budge at all so id say you are safe! Its a really nice knife I'd highly recommend it polish the washers up and its smooth as glass and fast once you figure out the flipping technique.
