Carl,Can you give me a email at Tofazfou@gmail.com. I would like to add some of your guns pictures and story to my .257 dedication page on the TAG forum.
Thanks Rifle50 for the response and the info. I am shooting a Condor with Dougs valve and a TJ 257 barrel and maddog stock and carbon bottle. Some days the gun and i will get along real good the next day just can not get it down to what I like. I have never shot tethered and would imagine that it could help out to keep each shoot close without the drop after 5-6 shoots. May give this a try and see what would change.Again thanks.
Thanks for posting the pictures of your groups along with the information on bullet weight. That's very helpful to those of us that are thinking about going to the .257 as well.In your video I see the regulator you are tethered to. Can you post where you bought it from?

rifle50Great shooting! Can I ask... Is that NOE's mold PB or GC and which alloy You are using? Thanks
This is absolutely bonkers, and extremely impressive. I understand the physics and ballistic considerations when dealing with an AG, and I really can't wrap my head around shooting that far with anything but a PB. Keep up the good work!

Iam going to post I got my range out to 250yds so decide to give it a try this is the longest I have shot with the 257 Condor. This is with the 82gr FP on the Bipod and bag in the rear. The fill was 3400 and shot a three shot group. Its nothing great as compared to Rifle50 for sure hats off to him he is the man for sure. By doing this I found its really fun challenging and more in the future. Everything has to right each time. I had a wind coming in the SE at 12mph which is coming in about 60 degrees to my target also figured in. Anyway try not to laugh to hard I will work on this more and have alot learn about sub-sonic rounds for sure and tuning as well. I see a regulator in my near future as well and a adjustable front rest as well.
Just kinda chiming in here that for those that don't fully understand this, shooting this far is extremely hard. EXTREMELY! I don't and have never shot 1000 yard competition and this gentleman does. And he has said how hard this is. For me, shooting out to 400-500 yards is hard so i can ONLY imagine how much harder 200-300 ADDITONAL yards is.Its funny too that, cause i shoot out to 400 yards often, im extremely comfortable shooting and hitting things at 200-300. And i don't mean POT SHOOTING or LOBBING. I mean doing it accurately. Eggs on golf tees at 200 yards accurate. At those ranges, the wind plays a big role. When you get to 400 yards +- with airguns, then wind is more punishing. And this plays on you mentally. PUSHING OUT TO 700 YARDS wind must make it seem like the targets are doing the "MATRIX" as the bullets whizzzzz by......lol!I give Carl and Bluethunder much Kudos for even attempting these feats...........................Keep up the good work and one of these dang days i will have a long range session and join you..........
Just wonderful shooting. But guys, may I recommend you to make yourself a favor and get a booster. Here you can see my maybe quite confusing setup (click the picture to see bigger image):I have automated it and when have 2 tanks, one for shooting pressure and one for power up the booster it feels like eternity you can shoot with just two tanks. Also you can go very low pressure in tanks and still have full pressure for gun. After booster a regulator, of course.Automation means that I don't have to touch it at all, it keeps up the pressure until one of the tanks is totally empty. Regulator keeps gun fully pressurized until that.
Approximately HOW MUCH did all the investment in assorted fittings, and the booster cost to get it like your picture?? Thanks ......Carl
My gun is somewhat same......Shoot very well then shoot bad groups..........

Thanks ......CarlQuite impossible to tell exactly but my approximation would be about 1200 euros. That includes booster, about 700, "welding regulator" about 200 euros and automation parts - valve, limit switches, fittings etc - about 150. Plus that other hoses, fittings etc. about 150. Own work doesn't count. You know the price for tanks, my 200 bar working pressure tank is my own very old scuba tank, I used to dive younger. Booster is purchased from US, I think you know the price level there. I must pay a lot more due to freight and VAT plus customs. My HP regulator could be the same as yours, also from US, I paid about 750 euros for it.It all costs and I have put a lot of money there, still think it have been worth it. Yet no money can buy hits on long range. I just thought shooters like you could benefit even much more than me of ability to take a lot more shots with so limited amount of air that we can carry along. As I have it now, I would compare booster necessity to regulator. How could I ever game along without it
Rifle50I you dont mind me asking what is the accuracy at 100yds also what pressure are you filling to and what shot count are you getting out of your setup.
