My new HW95 arrived from AOA on Friday. Got a chance to shoot it a little this afternoon. This gun is very smooth shooting. Had them install a vortex kit in it and install a Hawke scope before they sent it out. Looking forward to shooting it more.

I didn't know they would do that. Is it a lot higher costs and is it just the spring or the whole kit?

It was the whole kit. I had to buy the kit and it was $100 for the install. They also mounted and sighted the scope. They sent me the chrono numbers and a picture of the target. They sighted it in at 23 yards. They show the gun averaged 675 fps with an extreme spread of 16fps and with a standard deviation of 5 fps using H&N FTT's. They also included an inspection report that the gun was fully inspected. After some bad experiences with some other sellers with Chinese rifles this was worth the extra cost.

Excellent. The HW95 is a solid air rifle and a good shooter. With the Hawke (Airmax?) the 22 should be a proficient hunter. Any plans to remove the fixed sights and add a muzzle brake (not that it not a fine looking rig as pictured). Post some groups when you have it broken in a bit and have the scope zeroed. Congratulations.

Very nice! I should know, I bought the same one thru AOA, PG2 kit also!

Was shooting 5 shot groups yesterday @35yrds. you could easily cover with a dime......we got us a winner I think!

Is there a muzzle brake that will fit without grinding down the grooves for the front sight? I had bought one for my HW90 from Wolfe airguns and had to grind down the sight groves for it to fit.

So I added the muzzle brake from Straight Shooters. I really like the way it looks on the rifle. I want to remove the rear sight yet. Should I put some screws in the rear sight holes? Does anyone know what thread size they are? I have about 150 pellets through it now. I'm still getting some smoke out of the barrel from each shot. I thought it shot a nice 5 shot group tonight for still breaking in. This was from 42 yards off my deck.

Did adding the muzzle brake change you POI? Is it solid enough to use as a cocking lever? How did you remove the front sights?

The front site was easy to remove. I just loosened the screw and then tapped it off with a block of wood. The brake is good and solid, so yes you can use it as a handle. It didn't move the POI. I still want to remove the rear site. I need to find out what size screws will fit the threads so I don't have empty holes.
