Tracking says the HDR 50 will be here tomorrow, and I'm starting to get excited about it. I'm kind of wishing I had ordered some paintballs for practicing rather than rubber balls. As of yet I haven't figured out what I'm going to use for a backstop for practice. I'm nervous about the rubber balls for practice shooting, and even more so about using the nylon riot balls or the sabots.

I'm thinking about getting one but I haven't seen much about them around here.
Got the Norica Dragon in .25 with a JSB variety pack of pellets. Had time for a few shots at the basement 10M target.

I'm thinking about getting one but I haven't seen much about them around here.It shoots pretty well with nylon riot balls or the plastic sabot steel balls. The pepper balls are expensive for tests, but I do want to see how one or two hit before my partner carries the gun loaded with them. Beyond less than lethal personal defense use, I think it is a fun novelty. My 11j version is a gas hog at 22 shots per fill.If the sabot ammo was cheaper I would enjoy using it for plinking/recreational shooting. Unfortunately they are not very accurate after recovering them, even from cardboard or old clothes. The rubber balls did not seem very accurate, but they are environmentally friendly and reusable if you can recover them. More accuracy testing is needed. I have found riot balls as cheap as $0.10/each, but at those prices a rimfire pistol is looking more economical for fun semi-auto plinking. The sights are not adjustable, so that could be part of my accuracy problems. I have very little experience with pistols and not sure what to expect for precision in iron sights. That being said, as a defensive weapon they are sufficient. For more precise plinking I think any pistol red dot or laser pointer would improve things. If you want one just for the novelty, get the less powerful version.

YT has lots and lots of videos but I much rather hear from the folks I can trust, the folks here. If I may ask, where did you get yours from? Thank you.
