Yesterday I received a Bug Buster scope from Optic Planet, but they sent the wrong scope, so it's going back! I ordered the newer side focus model and they sent the older front bell AO model! I'm sending it back for an exchange and hope they send the right one, if not, I'll be requesting a refund.

Their website is horrible sometimes. They list 3 different variants of a scope under one listing, and when you choose something other than the main item, it's a &^^& shoot whether you'll get the right item of not! They really should be listed separately...

So, I thought I'd be mounting and zeroing a new scope today, but instead I'll be headed to the UPS Store to return it, then wait for it to arrive and be processed at Optic Planet and then wait some more for them to send the replacement, and pray it's the right one this time! It's frustrating, to say the least!

It shipped pretty quick, maybe if they had slowed down, they would have pulled and shipped the correct item!

I'm considering ordering the non-folding AR buffer tube for my Bandit. I love the side folder, but there's too much flex in the rear pic mount and I don't think it will last long with my hard use.

During COVID they were pretty messed up, but before that, they were pretty good, good prices, fast shipping, no real issues. During COVID, a different story, orders were messed up and it took a month just to ship. They have gotten better recently, but it appears they still are having some issues. I suspect in this case, some kid pulling items in the warehouse just saw Bug Buster and pulled the first one he saw, without actually checking the SKU to ensure he pulled the correct Bug Buster! He was probably too busy doing a TiK Tok video to be bothered with details!!!

Could just as easily be overworked or a person of any age. When I worked in shipping and receiving I had to correct my boomer and gen x coworkers all the time. Anyone can make a mistake.

When I worked in a warehouse all the pickers orders were double checked before shipping... after all, customer satisfaction is what kept the doors open. Sure, anyone can make a mistake but when 2 people make the same mistake it's just plain poor CS.

Well, along with the RMA sheet they required be placed in the box, I did a screen print of the correct scope and circled the side focus knob. I also circled the correct scope from their list and put a big red X through the wrong scope. Hopefully, they will get it right this time, not sure what else I could do on my end!

I hate to sound cynical.... but in today's world I feel "Customer Service" is a term very few companies understand.
You get what you got... they have your money and that is all they care about.
It's all automated... and the Sales Dep't made money.

I got my 234 gr .494 slugs to try out tomorrow. They look pretty deadly. I got them off eBay, they are the 5 gallon bucket slugs. Massive hollow point.

I also ordered 5 sets of Beeman P17 reseal kits (by ordering individual o-rings) from an o-ring wholesaler....probably going to be more for shipping than the o-rings...calculated at order fulfillment...now the waiting game...worst case I have enough seal kits to pass the P17 down to my son and his...lol
