MAN!  I was struggling with which one to get.  I did a search and I didn’t find much to help me.  Yeah I found some pictures but nothing that really “showed” me if one was better than the other.  Why didn’t you tell me this sooner? 🤪

Now.....  why do you say that the dot is better???

Do you have some pictures that compare the two?

I wish the Clearidge site had pictures of their own reticles.

I called and left a message AND used their contact form to have them change out the duplex for the duplex DOT.  Well see what happens.  Either way I’m stoked!!!  I needed another scope like this to replace the Leupold I robbed off of the 77 to put on the 30 that the AO ring went south on.  I checked tracking and it shows it was delivered to Leupold on Monday for service.

Yes, I saw that.  The color crayon drawing of their reticle.  That doesn’t help me.  I also searched for pictures on the web with nothing that gave me a good comparison.  😱

The Duplex Dot version has a thinner crosshair compared to the Duplex but the center dot will give you a better aiming point.

I've only seen the real thing. Never even picked it up. The M1A replica is 9.9 lbs, though, if that mean anything.

Thank you and I hope that my comments up above weren’t offending to you?  It certainly wasn’t meant to be.  I was really struggling on which one to get so I had to pick.  Then you commented about the opposite one I chose and I was in panic mode!!!  Ha ha!

There are actually measurements of the crosshair size, gaps, dot(s), etc. for your perusal.

I have the Fine Crosshair, which I like very much for pinpoint aiming.

My Clearidge was actually handpicked per request, so they had to break the seal

I received my BKL high rings for the Talon P which was needed for the scope so she's all put together now, nothing more to ad to this one.

I got another case of .22 CPHP's, some to keep, some to sell. I shot the new batch tonight and they did pretty good at 20m, several bullseyes pretty consistent.

I am truly a despisable "cheap scope w hor" as I have a shelf full of awful Bushnell, Tasco and other chi-com glass. I have a single Burris, my only good glass but I may buy Vortex (still chi-com) this spring. I would rather have a scope than sights, I love the crosshairs and MOA dots. Makes me giddy just thinking about them!

I have a single Burris, my only good glass but I may buy Vortex (still chi-com) this spring. I would rather have a scope than sights, I love the crosshairs and MOA dots. Makes me giddy just thinking about them!

 Grips are nice and tight!   
My previous one had to have electrical tape up and down the frame to take up wiggle.

For those who are interested, the M1A replica is putting 14.23 grain (measured using a digital scale) Crosman Premier Domes out the muzzle between 718 and 735 FPS, providing between 16.28 and 17.06 FPE at an ambient temperature of 76 degrees fahrenheit. Considering the ease of cocking, I'd say the mechanism is pretty efficient.

It's still burning off the factory lube, so I'll test it again after a 200 shot break-in period with a few different types and weights of pellets.

I am limited at this point to shooting indoors only when the building empties. I am in an apartment.
 No place to shoot outside with very low temps and wind chill.
My time will come.
 But based on past experience with one, it is very accurate. Fully adjustable rear sights.
Why I missed it and needed another!
