Just ordered some Ballistol, JB Compound and 1/2 dozen bore mops from Amazon. Pretty good deal on the Ballistol, (one can non-aerosol with the pump & 2 cans aerosol) everything else similar in price. I mostly chose to use Amazon to get it here before the Parrus arrives so I’m not tempted to shoot it before I clean the barrel.

Received an email from Pyramyd Air yesterday. It was the last day of their Mystery Sale week. I had a $10 coupon plus this sale hax the Mantis scopes at a 20% discount.   I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a 3-9X40AO. They advertise that they are magnum springer rated. This will be my second Mantis and so far it has checked all the boxes I was looking for in an inexpensive springer rated scope.

I'm not going to buy anything until next year 

Ditto again I said to Hector the next rifle will be a CCA von L-W .20 in the light .20s like his.

I've found you can't shoot the heavies alongside the lites in his system.

The heavies are the top end I think but to me another rifle would have to be THAT (the lite)  in .20 by him.

The thing is I know he works for others here and I can WAIT until he has time to assemble another CCA .20 von L-Walther.

In the meantime the "heavy" version now is the limit of what I need in sheer strength and velocity.

Just a warning.  Do not open indoors until you smell it. A little bit on a rag will smell up the house. I'm getting use to the smell but my wife has NOT. I use Ballistol on everything,  super product.

Oh she didn't like the smell of Hoppe's 9 either and I  love that smell.

Oh yeah, I read your warning on the odor awhile back. I like Hoppe’s #9 too, my favorite air freshener is CLP. But Ive used none of those in the house, just in the garage.

I use 3-in-1 specialty air tool oil on all my guns.  Cause it makes them smell like my Grandaddy's guns did!

since my PP700 is stuck in limbo at customs, I ordered a Benjamin Marauder pistol with all the goodies, extra mags and donnyFL adapter.... got a discovery scope and a home made LDC for it.
it will be here by the 6th  ..... long before Customs releases my PP700....

I passed on a BAM B-20 in .177, although I kinda hope someone here won the auction.

It was advertised as NIB (and box not opened until 12-26), but that seemed fishy:
- it either had a lot of dried grease all over the metal or had some rust from storage, especially on the compression tube.  The seller wouldn't answer my question about that.  FWIW, the brownish splotches on the tube didnt match the color of whatever was on the barrel.

-  the rifle had some swing marks in the blue at the hinge point, looked like a gun that had been fired a bit.

- seller would only send blurry pics of the questionable areas.

- sellers return policy was "undisclosed".

- I spoke with Mike Melick about those rifles this week, and he was kind enough to caution me that the main seal would almost certainly need replacement as the lube slowly broke down the seal material.  To me that means I'm sending it to him for a full tune (add $100 + shpg).

So I'm hoping that I made the right call.  I really would have liked to have gotten some trigger time with it, but in the end it just didn't add up for me.
So, that money goes towards something else down the road. 

If someone here did win the auction, I'd love to hear how it turns out.
