Quote from: avator on December 22, 2019, 07:44:46 AMMy UPS package went from "out for delivery" yesterday (two days early) back to "destination scan back at the distro" and a pending delivery schedule. It does, however say that delivery is on schedule to be delivered on time which would be Monday.Wow! Never have seen anything like that here. Although, Fedex HAS delivered a hand gun (1911 .45cal) to the wrong address...Thankfully, the person who took delivery knew me and brought it to me.UPS has been better than that on all deliveries. USPS, I still don't trust. Government workers should not have a Union.

Quote from: avator on December 22, 2019, 08:45:33 AMI have actually had really good luck with all three over the years so, considering it's the Holiday shipping season, UPS will get a buy on this one. Looks like they gave a valiant effort to deliver early but ran out of time and the driver went back to the area distribution center with undelivered packages still on the truck. It rained steady all day yesterday... it's still raining. I'm sure that had an impact on traffic. If it don't make it until Monday at 8pm, it's still on time.Bill, you give them too much credit me thinks... If the company makes a promise of delivery on a given date, then they should deliver it on that date or they should not have promised it on that date in the first place. JMHO

I was not raised getting what I wanted when I wanted it, and that experience helps me now.
There is an item we have been tracking for the last week. It shipped from Vermont, went to Maine, down to Central Florida, then further South to West Palm, then made it to Pensacola, about an hour or less from our house. But, from Pensacola instead of being delivered, it went to Jacksonville, on the other side of Florida! It left Jacksonville last night and is in transit once again, but no telling where it's headed! It shipped through USPS, so who knows, it may visit the West Coast before it ever makes it here! Sadly, it is a Christmas present, so we are hoping it arrives before Christmas!
If I am a realist I must also then keep it real....The items being shipped are just a pair of nylon replacement ropes for the winches on the 4 wheelers. There is nothing wrong with the steel cables that are on them now. They are fully functional. I just prefer the nylon ropes for a couple reasons. Now for the real....If this was a high air rifle I'm pretty sure my patience would not be so bright and shiny..

California three times but ended up back in Florida. the saved so much money they sent it on vacation. I never did get it and the worst part is it was a pristine Crosman 160 that I had bought as a buy it now for $100. The seller did not hesitate to give me a full refund but it is very very very doubtful that I will get that deal again. Oh and the USPS did damage it, or else it had a skiing accident or something while on vacation. The thing that is most mind boggling to me about that is ALL shipping services are very familiar with where I live and when the seller eventually got it back, my address could still be read on the label, so I can't imagine what kept it from going the last 90 miles of it journey from Los Angeles one of the three times it was there.
The ammo pouch delivered today. I treated it with some leather conditioner and tested for size.
