Just some information for you guys that have the WALTHER LGU..What a great gun, especially now after the trigger modification. When I first got it, only a week ago, the only downfall was the trigger...it had way to much play in the 1st stage. The USA models of the Walther came with a plastic trigger, but with this modification it is better then any aftermarket I assure you. The fix is simple; I removed the stock 1st stage adjustment screw and replaced it with longer screw, M3-0.5 x20mm (Allen Head) which you can get at any hardware store (HD, Lowes etc.). Purchase a nut when you buy the screw (unless you have a metric tap/die set) take the nut and rotate it to the bottom of the screw shaft prior to your modifications. You need to grind the tip so it has a smooth round surface (see attached pictures) similar to the stock screw. I used a grinder then some 400 grit and 800 grit wet and dry sandpaper. You can put the screw in a hand drill and rotate it while you grind, file, sand and polish the tip. When you are done unscrew the nut from the shaft. This will insure you have an even solid thread base. You then use a short piece of tubing and a drop of blue locktight for the threads. The tubing is used at the base of the screw to create minor tension as you locate your adjustment point. To adjust, screw it down until the cocking mechanism does not catch (that's because the trigger is being engaged) then back off the screw until it cocks. Then slowly back off the screw until you find your desired personal sweet spot. I adjusted away the free play and my trigger pull is right at 2 lbs. This is now one of the best triggers I have ever experienced on a springer airgun. (This took me about 15 minutes total and you don't have to do any disassembly of the gun) Save the stock screw so if you have to return the gun you can put it back to the stock settings. Remember this is at your own risk but it turned this into an incredible gun and there is no significant modifications.
