Vortex Diamondback HP Parallax adjustment

        After using a peep sight for a while on my soft tuned HW50s, I decided to get some glass for it. I looked around a bit and I got really interested with 2 models in the Vortex Diamondback series.

If you take a look at the prices, the "high performance" model with supposedly better coatings is actually about 30 dollars cheaper. That sounded a little to good to be true until I realized that the HP model can only focus down to 30 yards. Would that be a problem if I had to take shots at say 15-20 yards? If I could get better optics at a cheaper price that would be great, but if the parallax thing is going to be an issue, I would rather go for a standard diamondback

Just for curiosity, I ran your figures through Chairguns max parallax error app. It says you could be off as much as a touch over 3/8ths of an inch at 15yds if focused @30. At 4x you probably wouldn't have too much clarity issue, but @12, it's going to be blurry most likely and your usability would suffer.

I've got one of the non-hp diamondbacks and I really, really like it. It focuses down to 10 yds and is crystal clear @12. I have about 3000 shots on it on 2 different springers and have had no issues. Good scope/Good glass.

I put one of those on my marauder. It's really nice. The focus range kept me on the non-hp model.
