1987 Beeman R1

I just got back my R1 from Thor. I am one happy camper. Before the Vortek kit she was shooting:

LO   855.10   13.71
HI   886.20   14.72
AVG   870.87   14.22
ES   31.10   
SD   6.99   

Now she is shooting:

LO   961.30   17.32
HI   972.90   17.74
AVG   966.51   17.51
ES   11.60   
SD   3.95   

I do realize that she will settle down and shoot a bit slower as she breaks in, but I really did not expect an 95 FPS increase. I would like to say a big thank you to the man with the hammer.

  Jesse you may break in and find the fps picks up slightly as the seal wears in but I need to confirm my results with both my D460 and TX200 .  Somehow I remember others finding that to be true after a few hundred pellets

It doesn't need to shoot faster, it is a hammer as it is. "David the Hammer" new handle needs to be Thor.

I have a 1995 R1 that was a 177 cal and now it is a 22 cal. With the Vortek kit it gets 830 fps with FTS pellets. Super smooth and deadly! Here is an old pic. You can see I put in the gold trigger and screw and a brass safety button.

I have two 83 san rafael R1s. I used factory parts in one and it was shooting 990-995 fps in .177. Now i have several tins thru it and wonder what it is doing these days.
I am thinking of buying a san rafael R7 for 200 bucks. Its a bit rough, but... There is nothing like a quality built rifle made out of steel!!!
