Air Venturi G4 pump issue

Hi all, I recently bought a Hatsan AT44 QE and a refurbished air venturi G4 pump to charge it. I started using the pump today and I may have an issue. My pump does not seem to be charging my gun's air reservoir. I would pump about 40 strokes but I do not see any pressurization on the base and hose at all. I have rechecked the hatsan fill probe connection and it is secured on the hose.  Connecting the fill probe on the reservoir port was straight forward and simple. Any ideas as to what the issue could be? User error or defective pump?

Yes, I made sure it was closed.

I'd try and remove the probe from the hose.
Hold the end close with your thumb and pump to see if the pressure builds.

If no, then do a soapy water test on the pump to check for leaks.
If yes, then try and change the fill probe O-rings.

Got it working. After watching a youtube video on this, it turned out I just needed to secure the fill probe to the hose using plumber's seal tape. Still going through pcp growing pains

How long does it take you to fill the Hatsan from 2000 to 3000 psi with that pump?

Around 150 pumps. I take a 2 minute break after 50 pumps so as not to overheat the pump. Actual pumping time is about 5 minutes total for me.

My at44 short takes about 60 pumps on my fd xisco pump,supposed to be a g4 clone.I could not imagine 150 pumps,that 3 breaks to let the pump cool.
