Inexpensive springer scope advice

 Hey guys
Need advice on an inexpensive IE $50 or less a/o scope for my sons new rig

Gun is a gamo recon whisper youth rifle and it shoots at 500 ish fps

He will not shoot it past 25 yds and mostly at 10  I realize you get what you pay for but for his needs I just need something that is clear at 10 yds and holds zero nothing fancy just needs to work

Also advice on where to buy online

Go to  Amazon and look for Powerline  scopes . I have two 3x9 power. Both on low powered springers and doing just fine . ------------Papa Smurf

All the scopes you and the other guys mentioned are good choices. Another option is Pyramyd part# sku-py-a-3461. Click specials, then click close-out sale, bottom of page. TF 2-7x32AO $39.99. No mil. dot and no mounts come with it. I've bought six of them. No problems. All I need for 25-50 yrds.

The Chinese scopes come in many brand names, but they are all basically all the same.
The biggest way to keep costs down is to "keep them simple", and avoid large magnification.  Your situation doesn't require either of them, so I think that you will have many choices within budget.  The lightweight Gamo is not a scopekiller...and the range isn't very long.    As a kid, I shot a 4x for many years, on a .22lr,  with much success.  Complicating a scope for a kid, is not the best way to go for new shooters.  He''ll get the hang of "hold over" and "hold under" real quick.  Kids are cool that way.
