HW 95 .177 scope base & rings

Just purchased a HW95. What scope base & rings should I put on it? Probably will be using a Hawke EV scope.

My .22 HW95 has the usual barrel droop and required a compensating mount. UTG and RWS both make nice one piece units. I picked up 2 RWS units off eBay for $13 ea. shipped.

This is the same mount in 30mm. Email the seller and see if they will provide the 1 inch shims. When you see the orientation arrow on a mount, that indicates it is droop compersating.

I have Sportsmatch, two piece double screw mounts with removable arrestor pin from AOA paired with a Hawke scope. Not very expensive as I recall, and Ive never had a problem with them mounted on my HW95. Whatever you use, try and mount the scope as low as possible. alcohol clean and blue loctite the screws. Do not use excessive force tightening the rings to the tube or you could damage the scope internally. As an added measure, and after securing the lower portion of the rings to the rail, I allways put just a very small drop of super glue between the scope and the top ring. Be sure to center and position the scope on the bottom portion of the rings to you're liking, prier to this added measure, as super glue sets very quickly. If you ever have to remove the scope, the rings should pop of with little effort as long as you've used just a very small drop of super glue. If you are not new to this, please forgive my long winded responce.

Sports Match makes excellent rings/mounts.  One-piece mounts have the advantage of a longer "gripping" surface than two-piece rings, although either will work very well.  I find the two-piece rings to be more aesthetically pleasing.  Whatever kind you get, the arrestor pin will ensure that the mounts and scope do not move.
