Anyone have one of these? Opinions?

I need another break barrel like a hole in the head, but this looks potentially like a good deal...

Seem pretty nice, especially for the price. Might search around a bit for reviews. If I could handle the recoil, I would have bought one a while back. Triggers are good and so are the looks. About like a Cometa. Maybe a shade under it. But, for under $150 delivered, who's nit-picking?

I have one in a .22 and I like it. I never had any other springer to compare it with so as for the recoil I would say it was the same as my .22 LR semi, and I don't have to hold it real loose to be accurate. I did notice that it settled down quite bit since I have put a few tins of pellets through it. When new it was twangy until I put some lube on the spring. I haven't pulled anything apart yet as I haven't made a spring compressor...but I really haven't justified it yet...it shoots great and hard.

I have enough confidence in the rifle that I'm going to use it for turkeys this spring and fall so that should say something.

I agree with cell. My only springer was an older Norinco TS45, which BTW I REALLY like. I got the fever for a .22 and after looking around for something under $200 I decided on the Norica SC. I am not an aficionado like some of the folks here, but I am very pleased. I bought the 10-for-$10 from PA and they measured muzzle velocity at an average of 750-760fps with lead, but I can't remember which pellet specifically. Norica included a tin of 250 Norica domed pellets. Because of the weather, I have had little time outside with it, but so far, so good.

Good luck getting one of those appart...

And if you do even more luck putting one back together..

They do have beautiful stocks but a nightmare to work on.

Karl, if what Gene says is true (and he has a LOT of experience with AG's), then you need to do a search on "Slot Tune". That's how you can get some spring tar in there without disassembly.

I just put a bit of lube on the spring that's exposed...not a true lube by definition I guess but it has quieted it down. I ordered a chronograph so Ill be able to get some numbers here soon. Maybe one thing to check is your crown. I took off the muzzle brake and my crown was not up to par...easy fix with a brass screw. I also noticed that I can hear the pellets "whistle" down range now. I have no idea if its because its breaking in and starting to shoot a bit faster or if the colder weather has effected the pellet in flight? When I get the bug I'll fab up a compressor and tear into it...measure the spring and such to get spare parts if I can find em.

Shouldn't be to much of a hassle. I understand the TF89 is a clone and people don't have any problems breaking there's down. Of course I will need to fab up a adapter to reach past the trigger assembly...easy to do. Gene, do you tune Spanish air rifles?

It requires a special tool to remove the spring, the tool takes the spring pressure off the trigger group so it can be removed and then back out the spring and guide. If you don't have any experience working with these guns you better listen to Gene! or you could put an eye out or worse!

Appologies........... I was thinking of the Hämmerli Nova Underlever. You are right the Storm Classic is another AR-1000 clone with a very sweet stock. That is a good price for it as well..

Gene, there's a theory going around that air gun lubes are intoxicating in great quantities. That must be the reason for the mixup.

doc, I've hear good and some bad things about this rifle but more good than bad. I know a guy who has 3 of these and he owns alot of hi end guns and he says IHOP that they are a pretty nice little rifle, its basicly a TF89 gun made in Spain, nicer buling fit an finish {etc} don't forget the rifle was 259$ and now its 150 something, they do have a very adjustable trigger and nice wood and shoot in the hi 6's mid 7's in some of them I don't think you could go wrong with it, guys here seem to like the ones they have, I personally have no experience with this rifle but like you I may buy one myself my friend has 2 new ones in the box a my sell me one reasonable.

THE NORICA STORM IS NOT A CLONE OF CHINESE TF89 (ar1000)
It's the other way, Norica is the original and the internal parts are much better, there is no doubt about that.

Yes I'm awhere of that I should have made myself clearer on this, you are right they are made much better than the Chinese clone I was just using the TF as a comparison due to alot of people on this forum have them and they are talked about alot here and the Spanish guns are alot nicer gun.
