Anyone have experience with Simmons Truplex reticles?

Jumped on a deal before I read up on the truplex reticle. The scope is a 44Mag 6-21x44mm side focus and I was getting it for longer ranges because of the magnification. But looking at pictures of the reticle it seems like it's made to keep target in the center of the scope. So do anyone have experience with these and how are they for longer than 100 yards shooting?

The picture appears to be a standard duplex reticule. It should be fine for longer ranges but you have no frame of reference for hold over. If you sight it in for a hundred yards and normally shoot a hundred yards you should have no problem.

The reticle in question is supposed to have 6 dots per axis. This was the closet picture i could find of something similar.

I have one of these and Irecently replaced it with a mil-dot.
You have five points of reference and only time on the range will show you what they are.
The intersection of the crosshairs, of course and then the point of each of the thick portion of the crosshairs.
Example a ten MPH crosswind might require using one the horizontal wide portion points as your aiming device.
Zeroed at 100 yards, what is your point blank distance using the lower (distant/more than 100)point?
How about the upper one?
Only practice and experimentation will tell.
I have a BSA air rifle scope on my RWS48.
It does not have mil-dots.
Zeroed at 25 yards, I have found the lower point is dead on at 10 yards.
Experiment.
I now have the Simmons 6-20 on my TC .223.
Deadly to 250 yards.
