You tube videos are your friend.... If pictures are worth a thousand words, video must be worth at least a half million
This is a sticky from over on the Dianawerk. As mentioned, youtube is a good place to go also. Good luck with the Airhawk.http://www.network54.com/Forum/184474/thread/1308890324/last-1309395608/Installed+a+Vortek+PG2+Kit+in+my+34+%28TO6%29+.22Scotty
This will cover the basics. https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2006/08/spring-gun-tuning-part-11-lubrication-and-reassembly-continued/

This'll be a good gun till you can afford the 34 you talked about. I got one of those Midway Airhawk refurbs for $48. Out of the box trigger pull is 2lbs 12oz. It's pushing 8.6 grs Peak w/c 960fps, Super Mags 858 and Hobbies 1025. Shoots good as is.
Mine arrived today. I shot about 25-45 rounds then decided to jump in. I tore it apart, sanded, polished, lubed, and reassembled. I haven't shot it but the cocking/decocking cycle seems smoother. I'm sure glad this gun came along so cheap. It was worth the price just to experiment with my first disassembly. Sorry for repetition, I ended up posting in two different threads.

My method is to use a wooden block upon which I set a plastic washer smaller than the receiver end cap. I set the barreled action on the washer vertically with the safety hanging over the edge of the block. I lean my weight downward on the barrel to relieve spring pressure as I reach down and push out the two pins that hold the end cap. Then slowly relieve the downward pressure. It does help if you have a third hand for this, especially for reassembly, but I've managed it alone. If you get a brand new, unset spring, you may need a compressor, but once set, it's not too difficult. Of course, try what you are comfortable with at your own risk.
