I'd like to know if the Benjamin Phoenix NP2 Air Rifle has the same power plant as the other NP2 22 cal.
What PFE are you guys really getting from the NP2 that claim 26 FPE ?

Using CPHP 14.3 or JSB 18.1, I get almost 22 FPE. I do believe all the NP2s use the same power plant. Just different compression tubes (some with rails, some with grooves) and stocks.

I know the Phoenix has the 11mm scope mount but was wondering if that was the only difference. If the rest of the power plant is the same it would fit my hunting needs.

At Pyramyd the Trail NP2 is only $10 more. It has a rail instead of grooves. Much better.

Rod, 21 or 22 FPE is bad enough for an advertised 26 FPS. If I could get on doing 22 FPE it would be OK. feel for you and don't know why it wasn't returned.

By the the time I chronied the gun, I had taken it down and changed the original piston seal. At this time, I realized it was not shooting as hard as the average NP2. I contacted Crosman again and they sent me a new gas spring but I was informed this would void the warranty if I did the work myself.
Thinking that after changing out the gas spring and replacing the factury piston seal with a JM seal of the same size and going over the gun with a fine tooth comb, it would surely pick up at lease 50 fps. It only picked up 15 fps on average.
I have not made up my mind if I want to stay with the NP2 platform. If

If I decide to give it another go, I would purchase the cheaper black model and change it out with my bedded camo stock.
Just because this gun doesn't shoot as hard as the average NP2, does not mean it a bad gun. I have a friend would not have any problem shooting it as is, for the right price. Don't under estimate what a 16 fpe can do to small game inside fourty yards.
It's a ways off to next hunting season, so I'm in no hurry at this time. Who knows what might come out by then🔫

I'd go with the N-Forcer Gas Piston should I find an issue with my NP2.
As it is it shoots the JSB 13.43 like laser rounds.

Hey Rob, hope were not getting to off track, but if you have followed any of my post you would know how much work I have put into my NP2 to get it up to 20 fpe.

Jeff you have my attention.
What N Forcer spring would be needed, What FPE? How much?
I have guns shooting 18+ FPE. I was looking for a higher FPE for bigger game. The NP2 looked interesting at first when I saw the 26FPE, but then I saw that's not what they produce. Capello's test showed 19FPE.
I had a XS28 that did 24FPE but I want a gas piston. The Octane seems to be doing 25FPE but I have a few concerns. Trigger needs work and what about parts? Then there is the non removable silenair, so how can the crown be worked on?

I spoke with Paul, from N-Forcer briefly to get a feel on how hard it would be to do business with them. I was pleasantly surprised by his willingness to answer my questions. Not knowing what size or pressure rating I needed, I was ill prepared to make the call.
He informed me that he had one ready to ship to an airgunner, but he didn't know what gun it was going in.
Paul, informed me that no one ever made a reorder, so he did not know if the piston worked or not.
The piston most commonly sold was the MF 19 / 125 or 100 stroke. Charged to 2400 psi.
The selling price is $46.95 plus shipping.
