I found a local guy who was looking to trade an Industry Brand B3-3 Air Rifle that needed some work to breathe new life as a shooter. I swapped him a spare Daisy 880 that was a newer plastic stock model that I acquired cheap a few months ago. The B3-3 old seal was simple enough to remove and a new 7/32" OD Plumbing Washer fit snugly as a replacement. The rear sight required a quick adjustment, screw tightened and with a light bore cleaning, the Air Rifle is now shooting strong and on the mark. This is my first Shanghai Air Gun Under Lever Style Air Rifle and it's as much fun to shoot as the Beemans, Benjamins, Crosmans, Daisys, etc.

Yeah, those B-3's are a lot of fun to work on and to shoot.... and with that TLC they become sweet little shooters. I have several, all home tuned and all of em are real sweet shooters that have taken their fair share of small game and pest birds. The ones I have originally came with leather seals. I replaced the seals on most of my B-3's with new synthetic seals, but a couple of the guns I cleaned up the leather seals and put them back in and they shoot just fine
Have fun with your B-3... just always be careful when loading it..

As with any springer (and especially the B3's) keep one hand on the cocking lever while loading a pellet into the breech. Some folks insert pieces of dowels or pipe into the breech to prevent the mechanism from smashing fingers. Here is another safety mod that's simple, elegant, and positive:
http://www.charliedatuna.com/Airgun%20Info.htm
Look for "Safety mod for Underlevers and Sidecockers."
