Hi guys! well i find myself to enjoy projects and here is an idea i have. 90% is executed but 10% is reminant. I want to take a 2400k crosman and do a major conversion. First off this video is what im going after
Looks supper cool and is basically my dream gun. But as i was looking at it i wonded to myself what can be improved. after asking myself this, this is what i cam up with
1.what if the tank can be used as a stock like in airofrce airguns? it would make it smaller and give it a takedown look to it.
2.Make the gun .25, i would use this barrel
http://www.bryanandac.com/goodsandservices/barrels/25-caliber-barrel-crosman-steel-breeches/
i think the gun would be able to handle this very well.
The part that im not sure is how to put this gun together lol.....
I understand it very well but i wonder how all the parts would fit together, someone with more knowledge may be able to help me with that (please). also with the regulator installed would that allow me to change from getting more shots with lower fpe and less shots with more fpe? if not this is a main thing i want to ensue.
the 2400 would be coming from a custom shop f that helps, so please guys chime in and help a lost soul
i heard these carbines can get 40 fpe or 30 fpe comfortably and also lower for smaller game and air conservation.

have you ever owned / shot an airforce rifle?? they're uncomfortable. your head is tilted at an unnatural angle to line up with the scope.
what that guy did was probably the best idea. you still have some stock to rest on.
only thing is, you have a hose running down the side of the gun. that doesn't cut it, for me. total eyesore, in my book.
why not just hipac it with a tube extension? looks a lot cleaner. or, a drop block and bottle on the front?

I have to agree with long hunter. I have a TalonSS and a 2240 hipac carbine with 1 extension. I've changed to a .177 barrel on the 2240. I hand pump the 2240 to 2100 psi and get 32 full power shots ranging from 975 to 700fps with a 8.44 JSB. I hook up my 2000psi regged 17 ci bottle and get 210 shots in the same range of fps. i shoot the 2240 every day. the TalonSS I get out maybe 1 time a week. And shoot maybe 5shots.

Have you considered a Crosman 1720T?

Airgun values: high-accuracy, very-quiet, light-weight, good balance, lots of consistent shots per fill (usually from regulator), magazine repeater, side lever, two-stage adjustable trigger
Optics values: must hold zero, clear image, bright image, fine reticle with mildots, light-weight, side focus
Airgun motivation: pest elimination, target shooting, super tuning, accurate long-distance shots

I still feel like id like to atempt my idea. I hvae heard that the hipac only holds a seal from the pressure that is created. The only problem i am getting is the whole parts list. could you guys help me with a few points?
here is what ive got
1.reworked valve
2.hose
3.ninja air bottle with a regulator
4.rubber clamp
5.zip tie hose
6. asa remote adapter
7. 3k psi guage
8. 4.5k tubing
9. discovery hammer spring
10. there also seems like there is some kind of 90 degree nipple on the co2 puncture hole.
my question still is, if the regulator is moved up in psi will i get for fpe per shot?

The only adjustable bottle regulators I've seen only go from 450psi to 800psi. You want at least a 1500psi.
Biggest mistake I see people do when installing the hipac is screw it in way tighter then need be.

Alec if you build the gun you want then it's the gun you wanted. Take some advice about certain things for safety reasons. I used a Ninja bottle from Mac1 set at 1400psi for my .25 rifle. It works great is it a hipower one no. It shoots 25.4gr JSB's at 800fps. You will get close to that with the shorter barrel. Mac1 also has a lot of the fittings you will need and you can rest assured that they will be of high quality and rated for high pressures.

it will be difficult to predict the power, but it is well within your reach. a couple things. the hi-pac seals against the valve-thus the tube isn't pressurized. doing it like you want will pressurize the tube. in this case you will need a longer valve that seals the tube and that front cap that will accept a 45 or 90 degree fitting for your hose that run back to the bottle. the valve will need pinned - extra screws to help hold the valve in place. i believe that most people won't take the original tube past 1200. this tube wasn't meant to ever be pressurized. don cothran makes a stainless tube that can go alot higher, safely. you may want to open up your transfer port alittle.
hope this helps some
peace

Just so you know the .25 barrel you linked in the post will need a 1/4" riser. Yes it fits the crosman breech but isn"t concaved like the breech. you will also need a custom barrel band if you plan on attaching it to the tube.
