You certainly have a winner there! And you can shoot it! Are those 5 shot groups? How fast is it shooting? We also need a picture of the rifle and the set up, just to be official!
Finally, after waiting for ~ 2 months to take this little R9 out and stretch her legs a bit I got a few minutes to set up a 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40yd. outdoor range.Equipment and conditions:Beeman R8, Kodiak Match 10.65g, one-piece rest, variable conditions (5 - 10 mph.)/South, 60% humidity, 'zero' @ 30yds....Following conditions were stable until I set up @ 35yds. then switchy 5 - 10 mph winds set in before another storm set in! Basically, I was happy that the R9 shoots a 'one - hole' thru 25yds. and need to follow-up at 35yd. to 50yd. when conditions permit (in still 'heavy' air)...I followed up at again 20yds. and shot one more tgt. and got the following again:My takeaway is this R9 can certainly shoot under 1" CTC at 50 if I carefully match pellets and wait for some stable/'heavy' shooting conditions...I'm more than happy with this little German lady!!! Art
Thanks Ed! - your bro' surely can shoot that R9!!! Since this target was the 1st I every shot with an air rifle at distance, I now can appreciate the effect that wind conditions play on that little .177 pellet! FWIW, I had stable conditions until I set up at 35yds. then with the cold front moving into the area winds started to gust up with 'switches'... Hopefully, after the front moves through in a day to two, I'll try again and see what this little lady can do at 35 - 50 yds.I truly can appreciate the skill it takes to get a 0.5" CTC (or less) like you brother did with his R9!Art
Makes me impatient for my HW95 .177 I just ordered from AOA! Nice groups, what scope/rings are on it?

I'm actually getting used to it and like this final 'stage' anomaly for my field work. Trigger pull wt. has been adjusted to ~2 lbs.Art [/font]

I made a stock for mine but the factory stock wasn't all that bad either. You can adjust that "3rd" stage out of the trigger if you like.Go to 1.3 Trigger creephttp://www.airguns.net/general_rekord_trigger.phpHere is my R9 .22.I had the same CP scope on my R9 for at least a year, maybe two, I don't remember exactly. It worked well on it and on an HW77 for a bit and then I gave it to a friend for his AR. It is still in service today! Right now the R9 sports a Hawke Sport HD 3-9x40 with mil-dot reticle. It's adequate but it has terrible clarity. It's really foggy around the edges. I hope to replace it someday when $$$ allows. Not sure what I will replace it with. Thanks for the pictures and the info. Enjoy that rifle, it should serve you well!
pardon the interruption:very nice woodworking Brett beautiful rifleback to regular programming

You gotta be proud the way it turned out with the Monte Carlo stock design. Very, very nice! Also, thanks for the link to the Rekord trigger adjustment! Art
bret, that r9 is amazing looking
I know it's not 'official' but I tried some CP 10.5g at an honest 50yds. And the second tgt gave me a three (3) shot grouping of 0.3125" ctc... I needed dead still conditions to do this and when the winds kicked up again to 10-15 mph variable the groups opened up significantly.Soooooo... I now know this R9 can shoot sub 0.5" groups @ 50 if I can get perfect conditions..Very difficult!Art
Hey Art,Have you tried adjusting the 2nd stage trigger sear movement yet? Trigger creep? My 95 has the same creep in it and I was just using it like it was. I started to get it adjusted out lastnight but I still have a little bit left in it that needs to come out. Just wondering how yours is going?Brett
