AT44-10 needs a scope
«

Hi all
Just ordered an AT44-10 and need a scope.
What's the lowest mount that will clear the clip or a 40MM lens (I may go that large)
Is there a good scope in the $100.00 ballpark?
Thanks for any opinions.

I have an AT44w-10 in .22. Awesome rifle in my opinion. I put a CenterPoint 4-16x40AO on mine. Had to remove the rear sight to get the front bell to clear so I could get the eye relief I needed and still have clear access to the mag. Get the TALL mounts if you want to keep the rear sight in place.
Some will look down on the CenterPoint scopes, but I have several on gas piston rifles and no problems at all. I like them. Wally World has them.

Hi Karma,
I may have been looking at that scope last time I was at Walmart, looked pretty good.
I do intend to remove both sights to mount a scope. So you think low mounts will work?
Thanks.

Hey frankr442,
I'd go for the BSA 6x24x44 at Midway $129 - first time (Midway) shoppers get an additional $15 off, so $115.
This scope is only available at Midway, glass reticle, 30mm tube & side focus - 10 yards parallax min.
Very clear & weighs about 23 ounces.
The Centerpoint is a great deal, but it only has a 1" tube, no side focus & w/o glass reticle -> The choice is clear if you don't need the shock absorption of the Centerpoint. As you know PCP's don't need this
My Two Cents ........... Kirk

I'd say the med mounts will give you good room to change mags. Low mounts might be a bit of a tight fit. If you have a pair give them a try and see.

The only reason I have not gone with the Midway BSA is because I live in MO, so they tag me with shipping AND tax!!!!!!

love my leatherwood- 4-16 X 44 Hi- lux
enough that another is on order for the BT65 in 25 and maybe the P.B. 308 too-
they have a 6-24 Hi-lux looks like it could be next on the hit list.
HAD TO ADD Nikon- the old one from Japan are great the new one are very good too- Buckmasters come to mind but if shooting under 25 yds not so much- good for 50-75-100+ yds though
