If you really want to confuse yourself!!!Pyramyd's competitor, Straightshooter.com sells sampler kits that include 25 each of most available pellets. Others do to but don't appear to have as extensive a kit. By the time I got done I actually have 55 different pellets to play with. I am going through a series of tests with them right now in two different rifles - FWB300 and RWS54 to cover both ends of the power spectrum. That approach won't help you with the Pyramyd sale but makes for a busy summer for me. As many have said, each air rifle has a different favorite pellet so you really do have to test them at some point. Cheers
I just did a quick test for this thread. I was a bit surprised by the outcome. I found some pretty old RWS pellets to throw in the group. Humorously enough, the Rws wad cutter gave the best group. To my experience, both the HandN match pellets are capable of the same type performance so don't discount wad cutters. The H and N 8.1 are not in this target but perform very well. This was not great shooting and gun was in garage when overnight so it was very cold at start. Shot at 34 yards with recently purchased .177 barrel from T W Chambers.
