After some looking and thinking I made my own scope shade. Hope this idea helps someone else.
1- 1-1/2" id cpvc pipe. (cpvc is lighter than pvc) cut to length desired.
2- removed ring on end of scope for measuring and fitting to pipe.
3- used drimmel and small sanding tube to open end up of pipe.
4- remove small amounts and check fitting of ring inside pipe.
5- after sanding and getting ring to fit snug inside tube, sand and prep for paint.
6- I used Semi-gloss black paint to closely match the rest of the scope.
7- after the paint dries screw on to scope and enjoy.
Very pleased with the results and the looks.

The orientation of the shooting lanes at my gun club are such that I get glare on the lenses during early morning and late evening hours. This kind of thing really helps. It looks like you built it out to the very limit of what's possible and still be able to open the breech. A word about the Dremel - slow speed, a light touch, and keeping it moving around are important to prevent flinging melted blobs of plastic around. PVC kitchen/bathroom drain pieces will also work, depending on the diameter of the scope. That's what I have on this BSA red dot.
