condor or condor ss in .25

I've got the funds together for a gun, but I can't seem to make up my mind. Should I get the ss or the regular condor? Noise is really not a concern since this will.be basically a hunter.

Another question: would a regular LCD quiten the regular condor? I have a gun Smith that I've been working with on my other air gun & he has been doing a good job. So having the barrel threaded to fit a LCD wouldn't be that big of deal.

Talon Tunes has everything you need including a shroud extension . I suggest you check them out before you spend any money. I had an older Condor .25 with their shroud and 21" barrel great rifle , accurate and powerful with no excess sound issues

Buy the Condor .25. If that is too loud for you for a 120 to 220 bucks you can order a frame extender that will make your gun stealth! More power with the Condor longer barrel better accuracy with power shots. This gun is very modifiable.

I had a Condor 25 with both a Talon Tunes LDC & A Clague LDC.  Both made it backyard friendly but the TT LDC was quieter, and also much more expensive. I had a 24" in barrel for max velocity.

I'm thinking the other way around.. Condor SS will give you the quiet, accurate rifle, anyways.. Then buy the 24" barrel if you think you need it.. Buying a extra shoud will cost more, and if you need a 21" barrel too.. 24" barrel with a extra shroud hanging off..... Looong..

Stealthy hunting is a BIG advantage..!

Condor SS.  bone stock 60+ fpe.  shot count is... well, leave something to be desired in stock form... but, it is insanely powerful.  not many rifles offer the off the shelf power, quietness, and accuracy of the Condor SS in .25 caliber.  it is NOT marauder quiet, however it is very quiet.  i'd skip the JSB king 25.4 grains and go straight to the Baracuda/Kodiak/Kodiak match pellet.  31.02 grains is a bit more adequate for this rifle.  I have had both 18 and 24" barrels in my condor... the 24" performs better as far as FPS and shot count goes, however the part that suffers is the weight/length.

I have the Condor (non SS) 24 inch barrel in .25 with one of Bulls Eye Bill's frame extenders (about $60.00) and am very happy with the noise level and the looks of the rifle. I agree with 454, the Baracuda/Kodiak 31 gn pellets shoot very well at high 900 fps at 4 on the power wheel of my gun, and the noise level is nice for hunting. I have also shot some of the Wicked Hollow Points from Mike and they are very impressive in the Condor.
