Finally getting the accuracy I have been looking for...

After some break-in and fine-tuning, my Evanix Tactical Sniper in .45 is finally getting to where I can enjoy it...

Here is a target from 40 yards with a red dot!  (This is only 6 rounds... I tore some of it getting it off of the cardboard!)  The outer circle is 3" and the inner circle is 1.5".   Not wonderful, but I am still not complaining!  More work ahead... Not bad for a big bore?

That's good especially with a red dot. What ammo and was it on one fill?

I share your frustration I been using Air Venturi 105 gr slugs in my .357 Rainstorm II they are all over the place can't group up anything even at closer distances. I have some 77 gr JSB pellets they are next in line for the testing. I like the sheer power of a 105 gr slug however I would rather have the accuracy every time over 2, 3 and 4 inches groups at 40 feet.

Have you guys tried pushing bullets through the barrel? With my new .357 barrel I had a problem with bullet skirts getting small bits shaved off irregularly. After a lot of head scratching I figured out that the o-ring groove was a bit too shallow. I took 0.4mm off the o-ring outside diameter and now those bullets look perfect. What was happening was bullet getting caught on the o-ring and when pushed they rocked a bit and then the other side of the groove hit the bullet skirt. So - take off the barrel, push through some bullets and if they get nicked figure out where that happens.

rkr I have not looked for metal fillings. I will if this gun keep shooting erratically.  I have to shoot some JSB's through it. If they are all over the place then I will explore further.

Sorry for the delay guys, I have been out of town...

   The ammo was EPP/UG's in 155gr. that I poured.  I have occassional trouble with them feeding from the magazine (I think because they are shorter, as nothing else gives me trouble), and fed these one at a time.  This was on one charge!

   More experimentation ahead, but this proves to me that the gun can be tamed, and that it will be worth the effort!

You getting 1.5" ctc at 40 yards with a red dot,...I say is pretty darn good

Yep, with the red dot, which is an Aimpoint Comp M4, I cover a bit of the dot at 40 yds, so I am quite pleased.

Also thankful, as I was starting to feel a bit frustrated up to this point... Kinda like a good rifle shot feels when trying to master the artillery hold on a springer!

Fought the gun for some time... Took it apart,  Put it back together... Shootin' Great!

Would love to tell you what I did, but I simply don't know.  Many guesses, but mostly a waste of good energy trying to figure it out.
